Don't tell me what I want. I'm stating the obvious: the overwhelming majority of deaths from COVID that are happening now are, in fact, preventable. The sad thing is how many people STILL won't get vaccinated. |
WRONG OP keep doing what you are doing. Baseline who wants to get sick? Non Baseline COVID IS NOT THE FLU NEVER WAS ASK THE over 1 million AMERICANS THAT DIED. OH WAIT YOU CAN NOT..... |
| I am probably the most COVID-cautious and generally anxious person I know, and I've been dining indoors ever since December 2021 when my children were vaccinated. I've definitely skipped weeks/months when there were upticks in cases, but...dude. |
|
OP You are not alone.
I know a ton of people who still feel this way. Ignore the trolls. And why do people care? Honestly who cares if some people only eat outside or order in that is their business. Oh dear the MAGGOTS got their panties in a wad because now we have POLIO back ......Nah they are too stupid to figure out that science. |
Uh huh, except we all know there is not standard for this data, and a lot of those Covid deaths are simply "with" Covid, not deaths caused by Covid. |
| I guess I'm more cautious than you, since I'm pretty much only starting now to eat at restaurants outside with friends. It's not fully covid-safe to sit unmasked across a table from the same 1-3 people for over an hour. |
Same. I love eating outside in nice weather. We did not eat out AT ALL the last two winters because that just isn't enjoyable to me. Lots of takeout. Now I eat inside without a second thought. I don't mask anywhere but the doctor's office. |
A lot of non-covid deaths are actually post-covid deaths. |
...of mostly unvaccinated people, and elderly people, and people with other major health issues. Not saying there's no risk, but evaluate your personal risks and act accordingly. I will continue to dine indoors. If I visit my elderly relatives, I will minimize riskier behavior to the extent possible for two weeks beforehand. |
You realize 80 is a perfectly normal age to die right? |
| I will eat outside on a nice day if the place has a great patio but otherwise I dine indoors and don't even think about it anymore. Fully vaccinated, kids and spouse working in person again. |
But OP probably is not 80. The point is, the Covid situation is no longer improving. Are those who currently will not eat indoors due to covid planning to never eat inside a restaurant again? Covid will not be eradicated. |
| I’m not even eating outside yet. Still doing curbside takeout. No way would I eat inside. No way of masking while you eat. It’s one of the most dangerous things you can do, COVID wise. |
| I really don't care. I have friend(s) who really push to eat outside. I will not be doing so in 40 degree weather. |
OP -- you are not normal. Everyone is eating inside -- no one uses a mask. If you do either you are in a fringe lunatic minority. Yes COVID can be dangerous. But everyone is going to get it 4-8 times over the next several years no matter the steps you take. Any other thought just misses reality. Maybe you can get it 4 times rather than 8. But you have to live your life like normal. |
