Don Lemon is pretty funny and charismatic when he's not doing "serious journalism," so I think a morning show will actually be a more natural fit for Lemon's persona.

I posted a different thread about KC being ill suited for anchor, while being amazing as White House correspondent. So, ITA! I knew going in that this was a bad decision. KC was a fill-in anchor once or twice over the years. It’s just not her thing, sorry to say.

Conversely, I think Abby Philip has made a nice transition from reporter to anchor. Not everyone can do it.

I will admit to being a big Cuomo/Lemon fan from back in the day. I loved their banter and candor in the evenings. That said, Lemon is not a share-the-spotlight type of anchor. (Don benefited from Chris’s popularity, which is why that worked.)

It’s obvious that he hates having to be a part of ensemble anchor team. It’s uncomfortable to watch. He is so damn disrespectful to those ladies. He constantly cuts them off, and he’s outwardly dismissive of their opinions. I recall one time he cut off KC with a flip of his hand while saying something dismissive like, “No, that’s not it.” It totally shocked me. I also saw that December 8 incident live.

I feel so bad for KC.

I wonder how long this debacle will last.

She excelled at it during the Trump WH because they saw her as one of them and gave her scoops. She's not really a journalist - she's a right-wing mouthpiece.

Why do some commenters think it's okay to insult Kaitlan Collins' appearance? I don't see anyone talking about Don Lemon's jaw or whether his lips are thin or not, or saying he's hard to look at. Disgusting!
