I also think it’s a cute idea, but probably would put the min age at 9. I’m imagining some fast casual restaurants, pizza parlors, or diner types. Basically $ and $$ restaurants.

My sibs and I did this at our favorite pizza place once a week while our parents went to a fancier restaurant. It was a way to get my brother and I to babysit our younger sibs willingly. We started at 15/14/10/6.

I give my MS DD my card all of the time to buy fast food, Starbucks, clothing. She’s never been questioned. I am going get her debit card when she turns 13.

I give my 8-year-old twins my credit card when we're away at weekend sports events and they have never had an issue using it. (I'm at the sporting event with them, obviously, but they might go off to a vendor for an item or some food or something.)
