I'm pretty sure I added my MIL to my Amazon "family" a long time ago so she could get the 2 day shipping. But she can't use our Prime Video, Kindle Unlimited, Music, etc.

Never. I also have her blocked and never speak to her so it's a moot point.

Not over my dead body. BOSCO!!!

You can archive up to 500 orders, and they'll disappear from your order history.

You'll still have access to see them, only they'll be under "archived orders" and your MIL won't find that easily, lol.

Another easy way to manage your own Amazon account is to not give the password to anyone.

Always with the unnecessary, useless snark.... thanks for the nothing contribution.
Thank you PP, I had no idea that I could archive certain orders so they couldn't be seen -- I appreciate the info!

What are you buying???

Of course, I would give it to her. There are no secrets here. I mean, it is Amazon. All our kids have our password, why wouldn't I give it to my mother-in-law? Some of you are crazy secretive. It isn't like you can buy illicit things on Amazon. Sheesh.

Can you please share your MIL's email address?

Absolutely. But I love and trust my MIL completely. She has my Amazon login. I have her credit card saved as a payment option.

You can buy vibrators and dildos--would you want your MIL to know which one you prefer, or that you didn't like it and bought 2 more before buying The One?

Ok, MIL with zero boundaries.

Nailed it. She’ll deny it now, of course, because anonymous message board, but too late — she already gave herself away.

Anonymous wrote:Nope! I don't give out my passwords. I might change my password to Grandma1952 for the day when she orders something (although I wouldn't trust her to add her own address AND her own credit card) and then change it back to my real password. But I would not give out my password.

This is either an LOL funny spoof or one of the preternaturally dumbest things I have ever read here.

Condoms
Lube
Vibrator

These are all things that have been delivered to my doorstep. There’s nothing wrong or shameful about any of those items but this is not information I want to share with my mother in law!!!

So she can see everything I order, watch, or read on my Kindle? No, thank you.

??? So? If your kids can see it, why would you care if your mother-in-law can see it?

Anonymous wrote:No, I wouldn’t. She can send you the link to the item to order it for her. And I think you can even share prime benefits with a limited number of people. Let me look.

Found the sharing info! https://www.androidpolice.com/share-amazon-prime-account-household-friends-family/amp/

This is amazing, thank you! DH has a tendency to reset the amazon password then forget the new password and we’ve had more arguments than I can count about f&;-$king passwords.

Yes, you can set up separate accounts under a single prime membership. You could do that for MIL (but if this is one-off, just easier for you to buy it for her).
