You and an extremely low single digit percentage of females age 15-60.

How old are you? IUDs have become extremely popular in the last decade. Teenagers have them now. We’re not talking about Dalkon shield anymore.

Data was pretty low. Patch and pull way up there. IUD not. Even low for the ADHD women who can’t handle remember to take a pill daily.

You need to go pass out somewhere.
Percent of women aged 15-49 currently using the pill: 14.0%
Percent of women aged 15-49 currently using long-acting reversible contraception (Intrauterine device or contraceptive implant) 10.4%
Percent of women aged 15-49 currently using female sterilization: 18.1%
Percent of women aged 15-49 currently using male sterilization: 5.6%

Pls break out the larcs- shots, iuds, implants.

Are you having a stroke?

Yes! Im bleeding out from my iud put in wrong. Help!

Sorry, the non-legal and non-medical people who make laws want you to die. So I guess you are up the creek, Larlaka.

Who’s dying? From what? The people who can’t get to Nevada?

That lady who doesn't know how IUDs work or what they are made of fell and hit her head on something.

Just look away. It's more polite.

Some what are saying that? Some riled up protestors tweeting their personal non-legal, non-medical exaggerations?

No, a member of the Utah State House. People, seriously, don’t come on here and pretend you know anything when you don’t.

So a Mormon state house member is saying something..?..

Okay. And?

Come on, we gotta get these Mormons up to speed on all this needed stuff. Utah needs this! We need this!

Correcting the ignorant PP who attributed that nonsense to a “protestor tweeting their personal non-legal, non-medical exaggerations” when it’s an actual member of a state’s legislative branch.

And non-medical and non-legal person as accurately pointed out as well. Thanks for sharing the local news in Salt Lake City.

Yeah, it's like people without medical or legal training shouldn't be making the laws about women's health care options.

F'ing crazy, huh?

It indeed is so crazy. We must help them see the light.

Do I look like the CDC to you? Go to bed. Sleep in. Eat some greasy food. Then you’ll be in a better frame of mind to do some research into this yourself.

Logistical question:

If you have an IUD inserted while living in Maryland, then go to college in, say, Louisiana where say hypothetically they have made use of IUDs illegal—. Is it illegal for you to just walk around with the iud inside you? Or is that a criminal act?
Anonymous
Or would it mostly just be a matter of the doctors would be unable to provide healthcare for you if your IUD started causing complications?

Like. It wouldn’t be illegal to have one in you, but it would be illegal for the doctors to insert it or take it out?

Who knows?

I wouldn't go to a OG-BYN in Louisiana though, given they may be required to report your IUD status.

There will be a bill filed in Texas. Just watch.

Who was confused and didn’t know that copper IUDs are still over half of the (little) iud market in the U.S.?

Yes, the “non-medical and non-legal person” who wrote Utah’s trigger ban. Pay attention.

So what was the statehouse bill and vote? And Utah's voters wanted this, assumably?

Clutch question.

Utah happy.

Texas woman here - I'm going on my third IUD after bearing 4 children years ago. It's the best thing to happen in my reproductive life. After Friday's news, I booked my appointment for #3 while I'm still legally able to. I'm encouraging my 18 year old daughter to get one as well in case she gets raped on campus (two cases at her school just this week!).

Under his eye!
