Anyone else prefer luxury water instead of carrying around a Camelbak/Hydro Flask?

I use either a Hydro Flask or Yeti. Neither ever have a metallic taste. I also have a glass bottle that I enjoy using but it's pretty much just for my desk and around the house because it doesn't keep ice in it very well.

I am one of those weird people who will not fill their water bottle from a public sink, faucet, or water fountain. When I'm in public and I've emptied my Hydro Flask, I buy a bottle to add to it.

Please reconcile the bolded statements.

OP that is gross. The plastic is so bad for you, and for the planet.

I don’t usually carry water with me, but have many reusable cups at home and at work. All different brands. I have a small crossbody bag and carry water for my kids in Thermos containers, since they get really hot running around at parks and playgrounds. It’s not heavy.

The only time I buy water bottles is for parties.

I'm French, and when I go home, we drink Evian and Vittel, because that's what we've always done and my parents have a stock.

However in the US it's too expensive and really bad for the environment to ship water from so far away. I drink tea made with filtered water in a rose-gold stainless steel travel mug.

I bet there are far fewer chemicals in a new bottle of Fiji than there are bacteria in the average persons Camelbak bottle. I bet the average Camelbak people carry around 5-7 days a week is disgusting, both on the outside where you hold it and the mouth part.

Bacteria is everywhere. It is not the scary word you are trying to make it be.

Water fountains all the way for me. Can’t stand toting water unless it’s really necessary. And for those occasions I have a camelback bottle.

Attack OP for plastic use but the same folks likely sip iced coffees and frappucinos from gigantic plastic cups with plastic sippy tops and also don't think twice about eating lunch salads out of huge plastic containers.

The only time I use water bottles is at summer concerts. I'm only allowed to bring in a sealed water bottle (so they know that it's not alcohol). It seems wasteful to me, but it's too hot out to be thirsty and I'm breastfeeding.

Why would anyone drink water from Fiji? It’s has 6.32 micrograms if arsenic arsenic(10 is considered unsafe for humans).

Also

Fiji’s population is just shy of 850,000 people–roughly the same size as Jacksonville, Florida–but only 47 percent of Fiji Islanders, many of whom are poor and live in rural areas, have access to clean drinking water.[/quote]

Not only is the ethics of FIJI Water questionable, but the issue regarding its carbon footprint and plastic waste is also concerning. The distance between Fiji and California — and the U.S. in general — is 5558.9 miles, which is a substantial distance to be solely transporting bottled water. Furthermore, journalist Aja Romano stated that “it takes around 6.74 kilograms, or 1.75 gallons of water, to produce, export and distribute one bottle of FIJI Water” — this is 2,000 times the amount of energy spent compared to drinking water from the tap.[/[b]quote]

No, many of us don't. God. Start paying attention to the world around you.

Well point to a post where someone is bragging about their use of plastic luxury lunch containers daily and we will vilify them too.

I literally ONLY drink water. I dislike Evian, but love Fuji. I don't walk around with a bottle of water throughout my day though.

When I go into the office, I bring a bottle of Fiji water with me to drink with lunch. At home, I use water bottles and clean them once a week. I'm the only one drinking out of them.

I use the Rubbermaid disposable plastic containers for my lunch, and then tra-la-la I throw it away! None of those icky plate germs for me! Of course, they do sell them at WalMart, but it's the luxury brand there, don't you know. The poors have to make do with buying the Mainstays generic brand in bulk. And all the celebrities are carting around Rubbermaid four-packs, I've seen it in pictures.
