He's not able to go tomorrow or any day this week. I hope he can be rebooked next weekend.

Wait what???? Where is he flying that there aren't any seats available for a week? I know flights are full but that doesn't make sense.

I can't take him to the airport this week. I'm working overtime and we live over an hour from the airport.

An Uber to the airport over an hour away is a bit out of my budget.

I actually don't believe anything OP has said since the original post. It's always so convenient when more facts are inserted into the conversation when original responses aren't what OP anticipates.

NP. I’m suspicious of a lot on this thread.

There have been a ton of cancellations but my understanding is that most of them are happening more in advance than “I’ve cleared security and am just at the gate waiting to board.” Unless the OP got to the airport 4 hours early (why?), it seems unlikely.

I am also suspicious of the LMC poster who had only ever camped but then was backpacking around Europe solo at 18, something we don’t typically see LMC do because of the opportunity cost. It totally could happen but there’s probably more to the story there.
