Will waitlist move tomorrow?

Does anyone know how the BASIS waitlist tends to move? In the data, it had moved about 30 spots by June 1. Was that in fits and spurts or was that a big drop all at once.

Asking because it moved 10 spaces today and wondering if that’s it for a while.

We enrolled in Latin I for 5th grade and received confirmation from the school that our enrollment was complete; however, MySchoolDC still shows "enrollment pending." So I assume the registrar has not submitted info yet.

I surmise that BASIS' improved retention is due to a combination of factors, to include satisfaction with the school and concern about Walls' admission standards. There's likely also a bit of a peer pressure element (e.g., I know of one student who was deciding between Walls and BASIS but chose BASIS reportedly because her friends were staying).

I don't want to derail this thread, but are you suggesting that parents decided not to send their kids to Walls because they feared the cohort would be less strong as a consequence of revised admissions standards? Or that thy didn't even apply because of it? I think that is...unrealistic.

Yes. To answer the question, my kid's number was in the 50's, and it dropped 36 spots. It happened quickly enough that I would assume it was due to the registrar processing rejected matches.
