Seriously. I'm hoping my grandkids will have a good future, so the higher gas prices go now, the better. If we stop subsidizing gas, it'll go even higher even faster and it should. Get rid of the huge rich farmer subsidy in the form of the farm bill, and we're in an even better position with regards to climate change. |
All of these posts by the Takoma Park and Silver Spring mafia......lol, no wonder why no one can stand modern day asinine liberals.
God, it will be sooooooo enjoyable watching you get pounded at the poll because your current platform of inflation = good. The slaughter is going to be unreal. |
More name calling from our resident Republican bully! Not one good faith argument to be found. |
Most people in Iowa live in places like Des Moines or Cedar Rapids and don't necessarily drive more than most people in the DMV. Smaller towns in Iowa are going to be more walkable than Silver Spring or Takoma Park. I find these threads weird. There's a deliberate, willful and contemptuous hatred by some progressive posters for large stretches of the country. So if you think some republican bully is being aggressive, ask yourself why. |
Buy an electric car?
Take public transportation? WFH? Ride a bike? Walk? You have choices. |
Yes! Those huge gas guzzling pickup trucks aren’t cheap. |
This is based on a WAR between two other countries.
And somehow it's Biden’s doing? You Biden haters can't even keep your story straight. |
We have a plan to address inflation: build back better.
You don’t like inflation, tell old man Manchin. |
So we need to nationalize. |
Because that worked so well for Venezuela. |
The US produces only 12% of the annual carbon emissions on planet earth. Until countries like China and India step up, the green energy initative is dead. |
That would be way too logistically difficult. Upstream, midstream, and downstream are all done by completely different companies, mostly on private land, in the US. It would cost trillions upfront as per the takings clause, take a decade to enact, and require the creation of a new massive bureaucracy to oversee. Not only that it's a really extraordinarily bad idea. Between corruption and political pressures it has led to very bad outcomes everywhere it's been done. |
We should have moved to wind, solar and renewables years ago. Hopefully this will hasten the progress. |
You remind me of the people who think measures that reduce COVID cases are worthless because they don't completely eliminate COVID cases. |
Wind and solar are both unreliable. But it sure feels great to virtue signal. |
