Given the supply of college teachers is quite high, isn't it time for universities to just get rid of this tenure crap so we don't have to suffer fools like these?

Read a bit more about this interesting man. Some students support him. The video is about 15 minutes, but of course few got that far. This article goes deeper and fills in the blanks. Essentially he's advising students to attend class remotely, and explains how to get an A in his class. He's openly against eugenics and the use or race science to support racist views and policies. He's not a Republican.

I do wonder though - is tenure ever revoked when tenured professors go postal, as pp referred to this rant?

Do public and private schools have different standards for revoking tenure ? Is it ever done?

He sounds like he is going around the bend. Administration was probably hoping he would retire during Covid.

Yes. You can lose tenure--and your position- for any just cause.
