Bob Saget died

Not sure if it was on that show, but I feel like I remember some kind of "incident" with him a few years ago where he was drunk/high and said some really questionable stuff, maybe #Metoo related. Of course I can't find anything now...

At least ten years. That shit was on FOREVER.

193 episodes. Which is crazy.

Heart attack would the the mist common.

I know of several men who had their first heart attack in their 60s, and had seemed to be in good health-- until it happened to them. My dad had a heart attack at the same age, but luckily it happened at home with my mom there, and she called 911. Ended up having a triple bypass.

Another friend's dad had a heart attack after a run, but was by himself and unfortunately passed away.

If Saget did have a heart attack, and hadn't have happened to be alone at the time, maybe there would have been a different outcome. Sad.

NP. Or possibly a stroke. I know three men who had massive strokes in their 40s and 50s. Two died, one lived but with extensive permanent paralysis. None had any obvious physical ailments prior to the strokes and all three were working right up to the time of the strokes. Stroke is not just something that happens to people who are old or already (outwardly) sick.

He was doing a bunch of shows in Orlando through the winter and his social media made it sound like he was loving it.

I'm sure his social media would. I think a lot of celebrities are/were in more desperate times during Covid than people realize. Especially living in CA with the HCOL.

And Saget basically had only one show he was known for that went off the air more than two decades ago.

Wrong, he was on Fuller House as well that just wrapped up before COVID.

Yes and it was cancelled just 'before COVID' too.

PP said he was on a show 2 decades ago. He was also on Fuller House. They announced it would only be 5 seasons, which it was. Not sure I'd use the word cancelled.

SAD.

He was making bank on those Full House rerun residuals. I don't think he's working for the money.

I don't think he was either. Reminds me of Jay Leno; just loves doing stand up.

Or an embolism.

Does anyone remember the movie he did years ago based on the true story of his sister? She had Scleroderma. I think the sister was played by Dana Delaney.

65 is not young. Life expectancy is 78 for white males in America.

Betty White and Sidney Poitier we’re old. Saget was relatively young.

+1. 65 is young to die in 2022 America. RIP, I have wonderful memories eating pizza and watching Full House on Friday nights as a kid. This one is hitting me hard for some reason.

SAME. I am very much of the TGIF/Full House generation. I was basically Stephanie's age and my parents and their friends were the same age as the main adults in the show. Friday night was TGIF and pizza and Sunday night was AFV. I think AFV got moved to another night at some point, but I remember watching it on Sundays when I was like 7 or 8.

This makes me realize my own dad is at an age where he could pass away suddenly. My grandfather (his dad) died unexpectedly at 67 from an aortic aneurysm. It feels too young especially now that I am not a kid.

65 is not old. It's just starting to get old.

Your favorite recent president is either 75 or 79 and they aren't dead. Equal numbers on each side probably wish they were but they aren't, they are basically going strong, and Bob Saget is dead at 65.

You guys are forgetting his voice work on How I Met Your Mother for almost a decade.

At 48 I’m too old for Full House but I saw some Saget standup and roast performances and heard some stories and he really did seem like a great guy to hang with. I remember seeing The Aristocrats and being shocked that he was so dirty since he spent so much time on ABC Family. RIP.

No you're not, weirdo!! I'm your age and definitely watched that show.
