Lovely.

Am I seriously reading a snowflake parent in search of a snowplow grandparent to hold their hand through this traumatic journey between DC and Richmond in 2-4 inches of snow? This is simply pathetic. I am concerned about your kids, not the forecast. FFS.

Everyone I know in Richmond gets their weather reports from wxrisk and 2-4 inches is NOT what it’s predicting. I don’t think any poster is being a snowflake or whiny asking about the forecast, especially given that games go until mid evening on Sunday, when after the snow that is predicted to have fallen theyre calling for freezing rain on top. So snow, then ice. Yeah, that sounds fun.

Since Monday is a holiday anyway we just reserved our hotel Sunday night as well.

DP - It is a little snowflakish, but VDOT has a proven inability to plow roads, including the highway that runs between Richmond and Washington.

Yes. We could have an 8:30pm Sunday game.

I have been to a tournament where ALL of the Sunday games (after spending Saturday night in a hotel) were canceled due to weather.

With that said, the actual facilities could close if there are several inches of snow—-which in turn means the games would be canceled. They are worse than us here with snow removal and driving in it.

I’m not counting on our Sunday evening games happening.

Head up, folks -- check your schedules as there have been recent changes made to the tournament schedule.

Just wondering what happened with this tournament with the snow and ice today? Did they postpone or cancel games?

I'm sure they like you the same as they did before, no change. Thanks for asking.

they cancelled our semi finals playoff game literally 5 minutes before it was supposed to start, after already delaying it another hour and asking all of us to stay all morning after our 8am game (game was scheduled for 11:30 then 12:30). We are a NOVA team, scheduled to play a Maryland team. No one was happy about it, but them the breaks. Can't really get mad at them about it.

What's funny though is that FutsaRVA put in their instagram that their team was the division champs, when one semi final and then the finals had not been played. We had a good laugh about that at home. At least we didn't get stuck on 95.

That’s crazy

Our 11:00 game continued as scheduled, but got an email that the facility closed not long after. Funny enough, it was the easiest drive up 95 that we had ever experienced.
