Best place for you to live in the USA - NYTimes interactive quiz

I didn't find this tool particularly useful: for southern cities New Orleans came up when I said I wanted to avoid climate risk! I had to click twice to star climate risk to get New Orleans off the list.

The other cities I know about with lower climate risk and lower crime did not appear. Which was perplexing. I think their data sources have issues.

Exactly what I got too!

It sounds like right now the modal choice of dcum users is upper New England.

What does this tell about dcum?

That it’s all white lesbians posting here?

It does explain all the "I drive the raggediest POS car I can and clip coupons and wear tattered clothes while my bank account balance is $40000000000000 and anyone who dares buy a care newer than 1987 is tacky and trashy and I would never color my gray hair or wear makeup or care about my appearance!"

Those are my people! (NYT told me I should move to any of a dozen towns in Connecticut, even though I emphasized that I hate cold winters. Guess I’ll buy extra LL Bean jackets from my white lesbian friends in Maine….)

You put not too cold, that’s why

I got a bunch of places in the PNW - and really I probably would love it there. Maybe time to get a new region a try. Thanks NYT!

Apparently I never should have moved away from Silicon Valley (where I grew up). The NYT must have a different definition of "mountains" than I have, though.

And +1 to the PP who mentioned they need a filter for proximity to water.

While including the "sunny" filter, among others, Seattle pops up as #3. I've lived in Seattle. I was depressed and sun-deprived for 5 months out of the year. WTF?
