The idea that we have to quarantine kids who we know don't have COVID to keep COVID from spreading is obviously nonsense. My daughter had congestion over the weekend (mild) with a cough, no fever or other symptoms. We kept her home over the weekend (cancelled playdates and a visit with family) and got the whole household PCR tested. All negative. I sent her on Monday with a slight runny nose and a periodic cough mostly at night. No one is dying of COVID because of my choices, because she doesn't have COVID. You're not taking COVID more seriously, because again, she doesn't have COVID. She might be getting over a very mild cold. She might have seasonal allergies. She doesn't have COVID. Your sanctimony doesn't make any sense. |
We were in the same boat. No Covid; no fever, bit coughing and runny nose. We kept DS home on Monday (symptoms started on Saturday and got tested immediately). He went to school on Tuesday, but he came back home in an hour because it was very uncomfortable for him that everyone was looking at him Every time he coughed. |
| If you test early you may get a false negative... |
PUBLIC SCHOOOL IS NOT FREE. People pay to make sure it exists. The free child care line is so unbelievably moronic. |
DP. What is wrong with you? Yes, there is a small chance it is Covid, but that is highly unlikely. Kids can't stay home for every sniffle. Education matters. |
