For real, use the lockerroom bathroom.

Squatting makes me go poo every time. Can't avoid it, it's like squeezing the toothpaste tube, something's gotta come out. It is what it is.

The equipment is never a bench for you to store your water bottle, gym bag, etc.

Wear sandals in the gym/shower.

I can't bring myself to use the shower at the gym at all. I'll either go home and shower or use the shower/changing room at work. Not going to say it's a "don't" but it's definitely a nope for me.

But anyway, don't clip your nails or trim off your foot fungus in the locker room. Go home and do that, nobody wants to see you doing that.

DH saw an old man shaving his heels- totally nude, on an open bench in the locker room. Yuck. I’ve never seen anything grow go on in women’s locker room.

In the locker room, don't spread all your junk over an entire bench. Other people need to use the benches as well.

Also, if you use spray deodorant, look to see if anyone is coming before spraying. Nothing like getting a mouthful of deodorant!

I just ignore and keep doing my thing, but it is incredibly annoying and of course it sucks feeling unattractive to my spouse while being really in shape at the same time.

I’m amazed that you haven’t shamed him into getting into shape. It’s sad and embarrassing when a wife is in better shape than her husband - though I see it all the time. You shouldn’t worry about being unattractive to him… I think he is worried about being unattractive to you, but instead of making himself more attractive he is trying to drag you down to his level. What a loser!

He is not out of shape, though he is the cardio bunny and I am the lifter in my household. But he often complains about the lack of muscle on him and I think there is some element of truth on what you said about him worrying about him becoming unattractive to me, because I think he convinced himself is that all I care about is muscle. I also dont think he would ever join me at the gym because he would be worried about all the huge guys he imagines there and about me outlifting him.

Ugh, just my personal opinion, but runner's bodies are not even remotely attractive. He's right to be worried

It's OK to use the hot tub in the nude, as it is within the confines of the locker room. It is also OK to wear a swimsuit. Less desirable is wearing your underwear in which you just finished working out, even if you "rinsed it off" while wearing it in the showers.

He is a rower, so it is not so bad. I would very much agree with the runner body assessment. I would still not be an a**hole to him though if running would be something he genuinely enjoys. I wish he looked that way at my lifting. I am not doing it for the muscle, though I do not mind it either, but because it makes me feel good.

No it is not ok to use the hot tub naked OR in your dirty underwear. Vomit

Shower first, and naked is fine. What's the problem with naked in the hot tub?
