Any good home rental sites besides Craigslist?

We are trying to rent a house in the NOVA area and would like to make sure we cover all our bases. So far craigslist has turned up nothing of major interest. Does anyone know of any other websites that may help to balance out our search?

Try realtor.com. They have a box to check either buy or rent ,plus you can select amount and number of bedrooms, etc. Good Luck!

We used a realtor when we were looking for a house rental. You'd be surprised how willing they are to help you find rentals and a lot of realtors have time on their hands right now. They are happy to get a good referral from you and assume that you will come back to them when ready to buy.

Hi- thanks for all the responses. We are looking for a 4 bedroom home with a yard in either Mclean or Arlington, although we have been considering some areas of Falls Church, as well. Primarily looking for a really family-friendly neighborhood, as we would love the chance to meet and socialize with other parents/kids (we are coming from a transistional neighborhood in DC and it has been difficult to meet other parents). PP- where are you located?

I just bought my house through Long and Foster, I know my realtors mentioned that they handle rentals too. You might want to call them if they don't have listings on their website.

There is a house for rent by owner on Washington near Sycamore. It looks as though it would be a fairly large house. They have a sign in the yard.

Argh! OP here. Thanks to the pp who recommended realtor.com, my husband and I found an awesome house last night and went to see it this afternoon. We put our application in, and wrote a deposit check out to the realtor. We were just waiting for the credit check to clear, when the realtor called and said that the other couple they had shown it to this morning just signed the lease! Crap!!!! So bummed, it would have been perfect So I guess the search continues, anymore recommendations appreciated, thanks!
