If you think the U.S. will launch a preemptive nuclear attack on Israel, ever, you have a rich fantasy life. Back in the real world, acts of terror will continue to have a price, as we will no doubt see in real time again soon enough. |
PP … That’s the most astounding part of this entire circus. How TF can someone observe Israel’s policies and actions, and then literally believe, and expect others to believe, all four of these things at the same time … 1. We’re chosen people - by god. Srsly. (But throughout history, we literally, repeatedly have demonstrated a complete inability to get along with any other group or nation - like, ever) 2. We sincerely seek peace, but our decades-long system of “pre-emptive self-defense” is the only way to prevent the existential threats and looming annihilation facing Israel. (FAFO Guy: In any conflict between Israel and another group or nation, only Israel is allowed to defend itself (co-signed enthusiastically by corrupted officials at State and in Congress). Also, nobody can stop us!) 3. Terrorism is unacceptable! (As long as we have sole authority to define exactly what is and what isn’t terrorism, can shift those definitions to suit our needs in shielding our founders and the entirety of IDF conduct since 1948, and always have final say on what is terrorism, what is a genocide, etc.) 4. We’re an ally to the U.S.! (And by ally, we mean that the U.S. sends us more foreign aid than all other foreign countries combined, that officials in America (corrupted and motivated by foreign state lobbying, looney tunes Evangelical weirdo syndrome, or racism) serve us and not their constituents, and that America puts Israeli interests above its own - at all times. Then, in return, we won’t allow the U.S. to use our airspace for critical missions. We won’t allow them to use our military facilities under any scenario. We won’t join their alliances in fighting wars we instigate with knowingly false intelligence. But … we will attack and kill U.S. sailors if we think they are monitoring our communications because they don’t trust our intentions, and then claim it was “a mistake”. And we will send our uncivilized Eastern European imports masquerading as descendants from the holy land to college campuses in the U.S. to viciously attack those protesting Israel’s policies and actions.) |
In your simplistic, vengeful mind, the only way to disarm is through attack. Oh, sweet summer child, indeed. |
Look at the speaker's eyes. It is clear that, like many other Palestinian captives, he has suffered. He describes beatings, sexual abuse, attacks by dogs, sleep deprivation, and hunger at the hands of his Israeli tormentors. Oh, and they told him he'd be killed if he speaks out! I hope the perpetrators will be held accountable:

An insightful take on the cognitive dissonance of many Israelis:

It's time for the pro-Hamas efforts to garner sympathy for terrorists to give it up. Palestinian terror is not going to stop, and neither will the efforts to eradicate the bad actors, and so the civilian casualties will continue. It's an endless cycle started, sustained, and perpetuated by them. Leave them to it. |
It is time for pro Israeli crowd to give back the land they stole from the Palestinians. All Israelis can go back to their countries of origin. |
Except that's not happening, no matter how hard you wish for it in thread after thread you start. The Palestinians, on the other hand, have behaved for 77 years in ways which have alienated everyone who opposes terror and corruption as a way of life. Using their land and foreign aid mostly to develop a warren of subterranean military facilities instead of to build a strong and stable civil society, has not endeared them to many, either. Their only "friend" is Iran, which uses them simply as expendable proxies to attack Israel without usually exposing themselves to the same kind of direct retaliation. Once Gaza is cleared out, the tunnels can be filled with water or concrete, trees can be planted there to help the environment, and Israel can focus on eventually bringing about the downfall of the Iranian terror regime if the current U.S. administration doesn't take care of that in the next four years. Neighboring Arab states absorbing Palestinian co-religionists are likely to be even less tolerant than the Israelis have been when it comes to terrorism directed at destabilizing their new hosts, which should be interesting to observe. |
Co-religionists? Where are the Christians going? |
I don't think the estimated 1,000 Christians in the Gaza Strip, are a big problem for anyone. |
Maybe we can, as a "Christian" nation, give them asylum. Not. |
Do you think Israel planting trees once tunnels are cleared is going to stop the next group from forming????? |
They won't be on that border, anyway. |
Surely the tolerant Arab nations in the region are anxious to welcome them. |
They're just as tolerant as Israel. So um no. That would also make them as complicit as the Free Palestone Americans but with personally accountable consequences. |
