small acne like bumps that come and go periodically, usually along the panty lines. Showed it to the doctor once, he said not to worry and put baby powder to keep the area dry. This was last year, yday DD showed me two. I'm not able to tell if its weather related or triggered by something else. Will start making a log to keep track. Is this ok, should I take her to a gynecologist? The panties are not tight, roomy, cotton ones. Loose fitting pajamas to bed most of the times. She likes to wear those flannel pj's, which in my opinion is not a good fabric for bed - but I don't think the fabric can cause these? thoughts? Thanks!
Can she go without under wear at night? that might help.

I have this along my panty line. Diagnosed by Derm who gave me antibiotic cream that helps some. Recommend no panties at night and showering after exercise. Seems worse when it's hot. |
Ok here - I should say mine is less severe than the photo there. More like cystic pimples
She should definitely avoid underwear at night. Buy her some boxers (they make them for girls too) to wear.
Herpes?
a relative of mine has this and it's staph for her. using hibiclens on them helps.
Don't use baby powder in bikini area.
It could be hormone related and exasperated by heat and sweat in the groin area.
Has she started shaving that area? If so it may be the type of cream upsetting the ph balance or perhaps just pressing too hard with the razor.
No tight underwear. Definitely no underwear or P.J.s at night. It may be fungus. Treat with over the counter anti-fungal lotion. If not that then simple antibiotic. Wash with a gentle vaginal wash. Wear nothing that irritates the area. Hydradenitis supperative is very rare and usually on scalp. It's also common to get ingrown pubic hairs in that area which results in bumps.
Sounds very much like ingrown pubic hairs. Also has she tried using veet as that can sometimes burn skin in sensitive areas.

I have a daughter who gets this kind of condition, and I would recommend going to a dermatologist as we were given an appropriate cream. If left untreated an area can become infected so I would second the idea of no underwear at night and loose, lighter material in Pj pants. I would go to a doctor and not use OTC recommended on a board. |
Has she been alone with any older male family members? This could be signs of an STD from sexual abuse.
Go away. |
