\Don't put baby powder on your panty line. It's associated with ovarian cancer. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/annie-negrin-md/talcum-powder-just-how-mu_b_9352400.html |
While this post may seem ludicrous so is a parent asking DCUM for medical advice about their tween daughters' pubic rash. GO SEE A DOCTOR, WE HAVE OBAMACARE NOW. Why would listen to anyone here concerning the health of your children? |
It isn't "usually" on scalp. |
| I would guess ingrown hairs. I used to get them from my leotards rubbing (gymnastics, so no tights). |
| No baby powder or talcum powder! It's been linked to ovarian cancer and the baby powder our mothers used was laced with asbestos. |
| I've had this since I was an adolescent - it is exacerbated by tight clothes and is also hormonally triggered. I gave up wearing jeans for a long time in my 20s and 30s. I've had to have a few surgically drained, but the best treatment I've found is soaking in a very hot bath with epsom salts. There are times when I do multiple baths a day. It can be very painful. It isn't fun, but has gotten a lot better for me with age. |

I used to get cysts at my underwear line. Now after every shower I exfoliate by rubbing a dry towel on the area to get rid of excess skin. My problem has resolved. Also, I try to look out for clogged pores in that area and push the clog through if necessary. I do think that probiotics could be helpful as well, but I have never tried this. This is the thread on treating acne with probiotics. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/567579.page |
| Try having her use Eucerin lotion with Aha or another mild exfoliant. |
