50 and 52 year old want to go clubing

Anonymous
My 2 friends who are both married with teenage kids cannot get enough of going clubing. They dress like tramps and want to go out Friday and Saturday nights every weekend. What is the fascination. They keep asking me to go do this dumb stuff. Now they want to take a girls trip to Los Vegas and party. Yuck...what should I do.

Go! Nothing wrong with letting your hair down

Where in DC are they clubbing?

Can I come?

I'm not kidding. Where are they clubbing? I want to go...with DH. Is there an over40s club? I miss dancing.

I can't WAIT until my kids are older and I can go clubbing again (i.e. they will be able to entertain themselves for a few hours in the AM while we sleep it off).

What is clubbing?

I like dancing, minus the drinking and loud noises, so... maybe I should take up ballroom dancing instead

Enough of the slut shaming

Presumably they work during the week so Fri and Sat nights are naturally when they would go out. It's when most people go out.

Clearly, just keep on being the better person and making judgements on what makes your friends happy even though it affects you and your life none. It's all you can do, really.

What should you do? Get a life. It doesn't have to be a life that involves clubbing, but it should be one that doesn't leave you acting like such a miserable shrew that you can't allow your so-called friends to do what makes them happy without feeling the need to disparage them.

And what are their husbands doing while they are clubbing? Going to strip clubs with roles of singles? If they are tramping up they want something more than dancing. If that's what you want go, but if not stay away from them. They sound like desperate cougars or MILF's. If that's not you, don't bother.

I thought by "tramp" that OP meant "hobo." I could totally rock the hobo look in a club.

They want and get something more than dancing. Husbands are at home. They want their youth and freedom.
