Congratulations, DCI! On it's way to becoming the best public HS in DC!

If the middle school is any indication, I doubt it.

You don't doubt it, you're just throwing shade. Suggests jealousy.

Is construction being done in phases or will it all be completed before school begins next year? I know there is an addition being built for an auditorium.

I heard DCI is one of the absolute best options for those not IB for Deal/Wilson and was planning to try to lottery there for MS. Is that really in dispute? Latin, BASIS, DCI are the top three MS/HS options, right?

What is the best option depends on what your choices and priorities are. Latin and BASIS have stronger test scores than DCI but there are other factors to take into consideration.

How would anyone really know? I know that there are a lot of boosters, for good reason, but where are the numbers to make this assertion? DCI does not have a track record yet. Does anyone know how many peeled off from the ninth grade this year?

Have you heard of SWW and Banneker? DCI can only hope to be about 5th best...in a city with pretty weak high schools. Dream big!

I live in Brightwood and hoping to lottery into the MS once our DC is of age. Not currently in a feeder because they are all out of the way except for LAMB and commute was important to us.

Hardy has to be included in that list of options too.

But I think the PP was referring to schools that have MS+HS.

They're both well over 2 years old. DCI is already catching up.
