Reunion locations

In search of a reunion site for 15+ families, coming from all corners of the U.S., within an hour (ideally) or two (at most) of a major airport. Midrange price wise. Any positive experiences to share?

Hard to fit in just a weekend when some folks are traveling a distance. Central might be your best bet - Colorado by a lake? Smoky Mountains, New England - New Hampshire/Vermont/Massachusetts - Cape Cod, White Mountain, Lakes with rental cabins? Also what types of things will you do for the reunion - big meal? Event? Does your family like being outdoors or would they prefer to be places where there are golf, tennis, beaches?

Our Family (spread out across the us) do a reunion every 7 years in the summer:Cape Cod, North Carolina beaches, catskills, Arizona (northern), San Diego and Colorado. We have one special meal together that is catered (at a hotel or similar), plan activities that the majority of people can participate (hiking) and try to have another cheaper social activity for everyone (bbq at the largest house- everyone brings something to eat). Its a challenge to make it work for all ages but we have found more than 4 days together is too much.

Coastal Delaware has big homes for rent. It's 2.5 hours from Philly and BWI. Golf courses, beaches ...

Colorado. Breckenridge/Beaver Creek or Estes Park.
Lake Tahoe in Calif has big houses to rent, fly into Reno or Sacramento. You could get something epic with several families chipping in.
