| I've been eyeing it for a while now, but never needed a bigger car. Okay with my sedan. We are expecting a baby Spring 2017, and I would love a bigger car. |
| Why not just get a RAV-4 or CRV. Same size, less money, good quality. |
Do either the CRV or RAV-4 hava a 3rd row? No, then thy're not the same size. |
Thanks, I like the CRV but I am looking for a car with a 3rd row. |
| I used to have one. Really liked it. But the third row is terrible. And they messed it up in the new ones by putting a console in between the captains chairs so that you cannot access it with a car seat or booster installed. |
| Get a minivan if you really need the third row. |
| How many kids do you have? |
Why? |
You don't have to get a minivan, but don't get an MDX for the third row. It is not very good. Get a highlander with captains chairs. |
| I have a 5-yr old mdx and I still love it. we bought it when I was pregnant w my first. Kids are now 4 and 1.5 and I don't think I've ever used the third row, but I like the trunk space with seats folded down and the ability to use the seats if i need to. My sister just bought the new mdx last week and is borderline obsessed (she had a highlander before). Her kids are 10 & 7 and they said third row is super easy to access (don't know how it is with car seats). they test drove Audi Q7, highlander, pilot and MDX and the decision was clear for them. |
| I really don't get the MDX craze...it doesn't have real AWD (Honda's AWD is a total joke), it's $5k more than a Highlander, which itself is $5k more than a better equipped Hyundai/GMC/Ford, and it's only slightly nicer than its sibling the Pilot. I get that Acura has a "status" thing, esp. in the Asian community, but is that really enough to sell more than a few of these? |
| Get a highlander hybrid. About the same price much better fuel economy, and with the captains chairs you can access the third row without scrambling over seats. |
I had one. It was very nice and very reliable. For the price back in 2008 when we bought it, it was the best priced for the $. But now, it doesn't have as much appeal to me. More expensive, not as nice and there are better options then there used to be. I won't buy another. |
| Had one and loved it. I onky needed the third row once in a while. If you need it every day don't do it. I got rid of it due to transmission issues. |
Zero until this spring, according to the OP. |
