If you really were British, you would know that The Times is not a tabloid, and that most UK academics read The Guardian. Big difference between those two and the Daily Rail or other true tabloids. |

This is bad. |
It's just some random student support position, not an actual uni administrator. |
That's not the point. The point is political indoctrination, anti-semitism and DEI garbage. |
Recognizing value of DEI or condemning killings of trapped Gaza residents as collateral damage is neither antisemitism nor political indoctrination. |
I agree, except she's not the President or similar. This is not like Harvard. |
Yes. The point is that this ideological baggage is also a problem at British universities, including St. Andrews. Don’t apply there thinking you're escaping the moral rot we have here. It's flourishing there, too. |
Don’t be such an idiot. The rector at a British university is the chair of the board. It’s a very senior role. Look it up before making incorrect claims. |
Yes she is |
That's not what it is, at least at St Andrews. Don't be such an idiot, do your research if you have no idea what you're talking about. She's not the chair of the board. |
Someone from the UK told me St. Andrews only admits 500 kids per year from the UK. That's why it is extremely competitive for UK students. Much easier to get in as international because they are full pay. |
No, this is a student position at St Andrews, elected by other students. Yes, a misguided, woke student who should, like the presidents of Penn and Harvard should step down. But a ceremonial position with no real power. So, an embarrassment yes, indicative of widespread structural issues, no. |

Can she be fired? What she wrote to all students is worse anti semitism than Gay's. But I guess there are not many Jews in Scotland? |
