Do you think we are idiots that don’t know other nations don’t have our gun violence issues? |
They exhibit the worst cult behavior. The rant about conspiracy theories. They are clearly delusional. Yep, let's do this. |
We’re way past worrying about what’s “lawful” or not in this country. Just do it. Laws be damned. |
Yup -- I trust the experts at places like Everytown and Giffords to learn about the morbid arcane differences between these guns. BTW, I come from a gun owning family. My dad owned a pistol and regularly went target shooting, and previously owned a hunting rifle back when he did that. My nephews own hunting rifles and regularly hunt, as did my uncle. My dad was an NRA member until the NRA went super crazy with Charlton Heston in the 1980s and he had to end his membership because he wouldn't be associated with those nutjobs. None of my family members who own guns are opposed to things like background checks, waiting periods, mandatory safety and training classes, trigger locks, mandated storage laws, registration/tracking of ownership, and none of them own crazy military style weapons that rip flesh apart like an AR-15 style weapon (which aren't legal in Minnesota). |
Amen. They use mental health as a shield to protect their guns. They refuse to do anything substantive about either, especially if it would require funding. Yachts before kids. They don't give two sh*ts about kids unless they are in the womb. |
What your argument fails to take into account here is that, while yes other countries do have large scale attacks as well, they are isolated AND FAR LESS FREQUENT than the mass shootings perpetrated in the US. To the extent that crime is easier to commit, the more frequently it will be committed. Guns are everywhere in the US, and it’s so much easier for some dude to pull the trigger a bunch of times than to grab a knife and run around in a rampage. Think about it. Think hard. Most twenty something male would-be killers are not going to get up close and personal with a knife to a bunch of school children. They’re too cowardly and it’s too personal of a crime. But a gun takes the personal out of it, and the guns are everywhere. Thus, the guns have to go. All of them. |
Fine. Then the solution is to not allow males OR females to own guns for personal use. Happy now? |
| I am so deeply offended by the mainstream reporting on this attacker as "she." I don't know how any woman can continue supporting this utter fallacy. |
Absolutely. Anything that takes all the guns away from the public is a-ok with me. I only want the police and Trump’s forces to have guns. No one else. People have tried to shoot Trump twice in the last 14 months. I want that to stop. The only people who should have guns at all are the police and security forces loyal to Trump. |
Stop pretending you understand anything. Do you have any concept of how many people have mental illnesses and how the vast majority will never do anything like shoot up a school? Clearly not. It's treating the small number who exhibit things like violent fantasies that are the problem. The shooter had ranted on videos. It's not always the case but it is sometimes the case that these shooters leave a trail. It is not the case that all people with a particular mental illness are ticking time bombs. You are a horrible person, PP. You are more dangerous than people with mental illnesses. |
You can be offended all you want. The reality in 2025 is that she is a woman. Accept it or be a weirdo hater. Your choice. |
None of those victims are as dead as people killed with guns tho. Guns are different. |
I'm a woman and I find it irrelevant that they identified as trans. I find it offensive that the RWNJs are focusing on that and the media are feeding it. It is more relevant that this person has a history of ranting on video about guns and violence. Meanwhile, the majority of mass shooters are males. Should we start curtailing all the rights and activities of all males as a result? |
You should care about the victims not the attacker. |
I'm the PP who stated that men should not be allowed to own guns. The shooter is a biological male. I'm happy to call them a "she" if that's what "she" wants, but they are still a male. I'll repeat: vast majority of mass shootings are committed by males. If there was a law that prohibited gun ownership by biological males, this person would not have been able to buy a gun, though I am not sure how they got the gun in the first place. |
