Trump's Madison Square Garden rally

Peutro Ricans do not seem fazed by the joke.

Bad Bunny and J Lo overreacted it seems like.

Peutro Ricans may not be fazed but Puerto Ricans certainly are.

Puerto Rico’s waste management crisis has led some to label it a "garbage island"—a characterization that, while harsh, has elements of truth given the island's severe waste issues. With most of Puerto Rico’s 29 landfills either at capacity or failing to meet EPA standards, trash piles up quickly, often in poorly managed dumps that contaminate the environment and harm nearby communities. Recycling efforts are minimal, with only around 10% of waste being recycled, leaving most garbage to end up in these already overwhelmed landfills. Compounded by limited financial resources, political instability, and an economy that relies on tourism, which increases waste output, the island’s infrastructure struggles to keep up. Unfortunately, these systemic problems have created an environment where trash and pollution are almost unavoidable, adding a layer of unfortunate validity to the "garbage island" label—a reputation that reflects a real struggle to keep Puerto Rico clean amidst a flawed waste management system.

Trump should get ahead of this and talk about the plight of PR

You have to give it to Trump.

He invariably brings attention to issues with gaffees and comedy - first it was the Haitians and illegal immigration, now Puerto Rico and its landfill problem

This rally was sickening. My friends are horrified sharing clips of the various speakers.

Who are they trying to attract with all their hate aimed at various groups of Americans?

He is talking about SLAUGHTERING THEM AT THE POLLS, you moron. He follows it up by saying, "We need to bring 100,000,000 votes to Donald Trump." Democrats use the same language when talking about "beating Trump/defeating the GOP/killing them at the polls." Do you have any idea how ridiculous you are?

Disgusting!

I don't know who this is either. This rally is... something. I guess their closing message really is: we are a bunch of angry, cruel, weird white guys men and. No, that's it.

I can't take this anymore. It's a creep show. what has the GOP turned into during this Trump era?

First of all, it sounds like he’s conceding that Harris is going to win? Second of all, he sounds manic as hell. There’s a weird desperation, like he’s dancing fast and hard for someone pulling his strings.

He is conceding that she will win. Tucker and Musk are friends. I think Elon is sharing his Ketamine with Tuckums.

Wait, so arguing that the government is too big and that it should be cut significantly, is now somehow creepy? Weird.

I just watched a couple of hours of it. You’re crazy if you think it was a fiasco. I thought it was a really strong closing argument for the election. Now can Kamala put up a persuasive rebuttal?

The inflammatory rally was a capstone for an increasingly aggrieved campaign for Donald Trump, whose rhetoric has grown darker and more menacing.

Quite the headline for Trump choosing to take the day off from the actual swing states that matter

yeah it was a sh--show. I can't believe anyone came up with this freak show and thought it was an effective closing argument!

And if you think Trump is doing this because he is losing badly, then you are missing a chance to make a lot of money right now because every betting market has him as a pretty heavy favorite given the polls and early results.

Hey there, thanks for chiming in! Can you please comment on the clips that have been posted here with speakers at the rally calling Puerto Rico a pile of garbage in the ocean, making racist jokes about black people and watermelon, calling the Democratic nominee a whore, and so on? Are you suggesting these speakers went rogue, no one in the Trump camp knew they would say such things, and that the MAGA crowd disapproved of them?

Thanks for your participation in this discussion.

Here's my take: Trump is the only politician in the world who would dare to put a professional comedian on-stage and allow him to tell edgy jokes that people think are funny. It's also a smart strategy, because as we see here, cat ladies will spend the next 2-3 days in meltdown, crying over these un-PC jokes. This is exactly the nanny schoolmarm nonsense (hello, Gwen Walz) that is turning off men in droves.

Keep it up!

Women are outvoting men by a considerable margin.

Thank God.

And who the F does this PP think he is. I know plenty of men who are not racist jerks who would be equally and rightfully horrified by this kind of garbage. It's not humor. Typical abusive gaslighting BS from MAGA men.
