And Chelsea Clinton went to magnet schools in Little Rock before going to Sidwell. |
Yes but after they became president. Chelsea went to public school in Arkansas. The Obama girls went to public school in Chicago. Bush Jr. went to public school in Midland. The Bush girls went to public school in Austin. Every high profile president should be thinking about security. Sidwell has that. Also many public schools are easy access to roads. School shootings (except one) are a public school problem. So I get why a president will choose sidwell. Have you seen the campus? It's secure. That said, when they are coming up the ranks, they should understand the plight of their constituency. |
What public school did the Obama girls go to in Chicago? Lab school is not public. |
And Chelsea Clinton went to magnet schools in Little Rock. |
Sorry, you're right. Where I'm from "lab school" is usually public magnet/charter. |
Yeah, UChicago lab school is a really expensive private school. |
Do you understand that "not white" doesn't mean only Asian? Please post which school/grade, and % of Asian students in the grade that shows "half your daughter's private school class is Asian". Thanks. |
Once the kids become protected by the Secret Service, IMO, it's logistically easier for them to be in a private school. |
Thanks, I’m well aware. I’m part-Asian myself. |
Yes because logistics is the only reason the Clintons picked Sidwell over DCPS. 🤣 |
I don't know that you actually do, since you stated "half the kids in my daughter’s private school class who aren’t white" in a discussion about Asian students in private school. So, again, please post the private school and % of Asians to show that "half the class is Asian". Thanks. |
from a security stand point, a private school is logistically easier to deal with than DCPS. Absolutely. -public school parent |
I didn’t say half the class is Asian. I said half the class isn’t white. |
Yes, we’re all aware. But you’re delusional if you think that’s the only reason they opted out of DCPS. Only one President in the last century has sent their kid to DC public schools. |
And I’m not risking outing myself by naming my kid’s school, but if you look at the websites of most of the private schools in this area, they’re about 40% students of color. They don’t usually break it down further than that. Sidwell: 57% Norwood: 40% Holton: 40% GDS: 40% Landon: 41% |
