Unrelated but I just had a contractor at my home who I did a background check on after. 14 felonies and 40 misdemeanors spanning 30 years and somehow his longest sentence was a year and it ran every kind of crime from violent to financial. It seems it's near impossible for them to go to jail.

Ugh just a heads up but his brother Sameh elrahimy of GoPro construction is rebranding to GPC Construction so please, please be careful if you are currently working with them. I bet Amr elrahimy is still working as a consultant for them as per the court papers.

This is looking like Optimum all over again. This is more than rebranding. It appears to be similar to Optimum in that there is a new LLC Corporation called GPC Limited Liability Company LLC. Thus calling Go Pro Construction "GPC Construction" is likely an attempt to confuse and likely hide whatever is happening behind the scene? If you get a contract from GPC or write a check to GPC - who is that? Where is the money going? GPC is not licensed with MHIC and thus if you sign a contract with GPC or pay GPC you are likely dealing with an unlicensed contractor and subject to MD laws against using unlicensed contractors. Minimally, MHIC will not help you and you can not make claims if things have gone wrong. It may also be important to know that Go Pro Construction uses the same lawyer and accountant as Optimum (per current DC court case). Certainly not illegal with hiring the people that supported Optimum, nothing illegal in creating a new LLC. But when you look at this in context of Optimum construction and the linkages between the two companies, it raises eyebrows. As the title of this thread states - "Warning for those looking for a contractor". As said many times, do you home work, google search the owner of a company, do a case search for lawsuits and charges, check with MHIC, ignore all Google and other ratings, talk with people that used the contractor and be sure they are not family or friends and most important of all, get a Performance Bond! The above is just opinion based on public information -everyone gets to make their own decisions.

This is looking more and more questionable. GPCDMV.com claims to be GPC Construction LLC - which does not exist as a company registered in Maryland. They then list the MD and DC license numbers on the website for Go Pro Construction LLC. You can't just make up companies and use the license from another company (unless you have an intent on deceiving people). I can't believe MHIC and DCRA doesn't shut something like this down. Seems clear they are trying to hide from being Go Pro Construction. Probably because of the recent court cases and linkage to Omar and Optimum. Beware people.

Yup, MHIC number 105365 goes to GoPro construction instead of GPC Construction and there's no anything that connects or changes the names to the new thing. I pray people do q Google search of Sameh elrahimy instead of GPC because apparently GPC has a successful contractor company that people can mix up with. The whole thing seems super suspicious and I hope MHIC follows up on this sooner rather then later.

I constantly receive reports from various individuals involved in this case trying to get posts removed. I was even dragged into the court case because of this thread. But, now I have been subject to lies and attempted intimidation by someone claiming to be a lawyer for Sameh Elrahimy. Here is the first email I received from this individual:

I hereby legal Representative of my client sameh elrahimy request immediate removal of a private document of my client which is being shared without my client's permission and violating privacy of my client. Thus it is causing depression and insecurity for my client as it is appearing in google search as well. The document is present in following link.

If the content in question is not removed within 12 hours, we reserve right to file a DMCA takedown notice to website hosting provider as well as file a legal case in court for breaching privacy of my client.

Note the lack of professionalism in this correspondence. No law firm is named and the lawyer doesn't even provide her name. The grammar is atrocious. She didn't even bother to capitalize her client's name. Moreover, the post to which she linked does not contain any documents, let alone any that are subject to her client's copyright.

I immediately denied any copyright violations and requested that the lawyer cease her contacts with me. Over the past couple of days, I've received tens of emails that appear to have been instigated by her client asking for posts to be removed. But, she continued the contacts.

In order to support her allegation of a copyright violation, she provided the following screenshot:



That, of course, simply shows the results of a Google search and does not indicate any material subject to her client's copyright on this website. During much back and forth, I repeatedly asked her to leave me alone and, finally, said that continued contact would result in a post of this nature. She continued demands for removal of posts, if not the entire thread, and lastly offered to make "a deal" which I interpret to be an offer of a bribe.

I have no personal experience with this family's business practices, but I have repeatedly been subject to attempted legal intimidation and, in this case, lies and baseless legal threats. Draw your own conclusions about what this says about the individuals involved.
