Little Red Fox

Just discovered this place. Delicious! Love the vibe! What have you tried there? I loved their grilled cheese w/ bacon & apple butter, mac & cheese, snicker doodle cookie.

Stay away from the breakfast burrito. They are ridiculously delicious and despite their huge size you will want to eat 10. Mmmmm breakfast burrito....

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone else had a bad experience with the staff at Little Red Fox? I’ve generally found that they act like they’re doing me a huge favor by allowing me to order the food. One of the staff was pretty rude to me last week. I think that’s the last time I’ll be going there.

No. I’ve always found them to be great.

Pre pandemic, I found the staff pretty surly. They've been noticeably pleasanter lately, during the last few months when they started letting patrons inside the store again.

I do like a lot of their prepared foods, which I tend to grab on the way home and heat up for dinner. These are the things they used to have in bowls in the case and now have prepackaged in the fridge. The chicken pozole, chicken marsala, and mac and cheese are yummy. Not so much the salads—not bad, but not as interesting/flavor-balanced, or at least not to my taste.

I am, on balance, very glad they're there. Directly on my daily route across town.

Had a similar experience last couple weeks with different staff. Had been going to them all during the pandemic and it had been fine. Maybe customers are worse and they're worn down(?).

OK, so how can people talk about restaurants they like without someone like you claiming they are looking for free advertising?

Spinoff comment: I've started going back to Bread Furst (down Conn. a few blocks on the other side) and I like it more and more. In its early days, I'd written it off because ordering seemed chaotic and I didn't like their overdone baguettes. But their prepared foods, pantry items, and baked goods are more various than in the early days and there's a lot there that's really, really good. Yummy soups in their fridge. The flow for ordering and paying is much improved.
