Why "so called"? They are liberal, indeed. In the sense we use the word nowadays, anyway. Liberalism does brush against human nature. This is not new either.

These countries have always been pretty insular. You really can ever become a citizen in these countries, like in America. You are always a second class citizen unless you are born there from parents who were born there.

You call these countries "liberal" because they have a strong social safety network and have equal rights etc, but it doesn't mean they are aligned with the Democratic Party/liberal thought of our own country.

And yes it's much easier to have successful schools when everyone is of the same background & speaks same language. The comparisons between Denmark, Finland and the US are never on equal footing.

I don't get why leaders are so alarmed at lack of reproduction by natives - to the point they want all these Third World backwards migrants who breed like rabbits. Isn't the world becoming more efficient, more robotic, more automation = less need for dull human labor?

The Western standard of living that all of the Third Ward wants to enjoy by moving to Europe, Canada, and the US was extemely hard fought. And now people just want it all for free. They want the West to support them, but they also want to reserve the right to hate the West. I understand the frsutration of people not wanting to give their standard of living away for free to a bunch of people who will never appreciate or assimilate into their culture, but their governments ignore them and do it anyway. The lefty luvvie governments are destroying Western Civilization, and soon it will resemble the Stone Age places that these people are coming from.

In some areas yes, but in many areas, no. The US economy is services-based primarily, and it's harder to automate homebuilding, medical care, food prep, and so on.

The majority of people flooding into Europe are not refugees. Most are not even from war zones. It could be argued that wandering (not fleeing) across Europe looking for the best asylum deal, is about as cynical as it gets.

Of course people get pissed off when their humanitarianism gets turned into a bit of a EU residency gold rush.

Case in point, most of the thousands of migrants flooding into Europe from Africa. Except for the ones from Eritrea, almost none are entitled to asylum. The majority are actually from Nigeria, Africa's wealthiest country (and some are from parts where there is no Boko Haram). Europe needs to stop this or it will be a free for all. People can't all come and live in Europe just because they want to.

This is an incorrect characterization of what it is to be a liberal country. At a fundamental level liberal countries believe in the power of the collective while minimizing the role of the individual. The result is a large central government, with a constant deference to the government to solve social problems. In contrast, conservative countries believe in the power/responsibility of the individual over the power/responsbility of the collective. Therefore a limited federal government performing functions only deemed absolutely necessary, such as common defense. To a conservative, a person is first responsible for his/her own life, and looks to the government only for temporary help or in narrowly defined cases such as disability.

With this in mind, you clearly see how some countries in Europe are more liberal than others. France, for example, is considerably more liberal than UK. The individual specific policies such as welfare, paid leave, blasphemy laws, are all due to the fundamental difference in how the two country view the balance between the individual and the collective.
