Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

Charles no longer taking Harry’s calls? If that’s true - and probably a lot more to the story anyway - ugh on Charles

I'm lilywhite married to a dark brown man. In all three pregnancies, we always mused about what the kids are going to look like, including their skin color. Husband didn't seem put out by it. Surely it's natural to wonder about what the kid of two different-looking parents will look like? More like you or more like me?

Ehhh this is different.

Seems like Harry would have been triggered by anything anyone said about Meghan. It's the whole intention/impact argument. Since none of us was the fly on the wall, we don't know what the intention of the comment was.

OMG...the little mermaid.

She gets her voice back.

So rehearsed. So thirsty.

Great job teeing up launching their Archewell platform.

It is like they are hoping something bad happens to them like Diana. This is horrible. I was thinking she was being petty about Kate. The security thing is what is really showing how awful the crown is

There is no purpose to removing their security other than getting them killed.

Diana lost her protection officers and drivers in the divorce and was killed within 12 months.

I feel like you’re oversimplifying this to prove that it wasn’t racism.

Again — was there a lot of racism? Yes.

Does that make Meghan an angel who can only ever speak and act the truth? No.

Would she have been treated differently had she been the daughter of, say, a rich White European or American billionaire?
Yes.
I rest my case.

And if she were a white American actress with a trashy family? You added class and wealth to the discussion.

No conversation about skin tone would have happened.

Agree with PP. Diana was from a rich white family, she was treated poorly.

This. He apparently blew his stack when William asked him if he was sure when Harry started talking about marriage after a few months of long distance dating. Honestly, who wouldn't? Take your time, get to know each other, test the wheels of the relationship.

Surprised that so many in this thread are going, "Oooh the British Royal Family is so awful" based on her say-so. I think she's a manipulative liar with a personality disorder. I was afraid when she got her claws into Harry that she'd twist things around to alienate him from his family and it's happened even faster than I thought.

After what he and William went through with their parents, seeing a wedge being driven between them as adults like this is upsetting.

And why do you think William is innocent?

He may not be. But the skin comment sounds exactly like Philip, who has decades of form for it. And William and Harry had the closest relationship, have been through all their trauma together, and thus he's probably the biggest threat to Meghan and the only one who could make Harry see the light on what he's gotten himself into. He would be the most important to alienate Harry from.

Team Meghan!!!!! USA!!!!!

She’s clearly suffering from a mental health issue, I feel sorry for her. She needs to be treated and hopefully after the child is born her hormones will rebalance and she’ll recover from this crisis.

Oh, how novel! She is a hormonal, hysterical woman, and of course, double points to you that she is black! If it was not so sad that you are actually propagating tearing women down, it would be so pathetic and so common and predictable.
You are a misogynist and a racist, surely you know that?

You are so tiresome, just yelling racist and misogynist every time someone dares express a different opinion.

Saying that someone who is acting totally rationally is suffering from a mental health issue isn’t really a different opinion so much as it’s a classic play to make someone look weaker, and it has been used a lot against black people.

Yeah, they are so different and seem to have nothing in common beyond the kids.
