ECNL moving to school year not calendar

Unfortunately, it's the typical reaction to a system where ultra competitive clubs and leagues look for every advantage, large or small, so it's no surprise that parents would do the same and it's very soccer parent to do that to the nth degree. What is interesting is figuring out what the advantage is. What parents need to understand is that what's in the best interest of the club may not align with the best interest of their kid and a lot of what's said here is more from the perspective of ultra competitive club.

No matter the age cutoff, your kid is an individual and assessed as such.

If she has mediocre technical skills and iq at BY then she takes that into SY

Same is true for clubs.

Reducing RAE creates incentives for improvement thus creating synergies. Your either or scenario is uneducated thinking.

Misplaced anger here from parents losing an advantage for their kids. Parents gaining an advantage for their kids don't create the rules.

Pure jealousy couched as unfair outrage.

When has a club ever been scouted or recruited?

Your fancy terminologies has no relevance to what's real in individual soccer development.

You must be in HR or Marketing

What advantage?
If you are new to the discussion here it would be tough to get you up to speed if you are starting on page 386.

I really believe this could go to 500 at this point. We haven’t had the imminent announcement from US Club or the ECNL podcast yet!

With the official announcement coming out. It seems all the other leagues have made an announcement. Does anyone know why ECNL still hasn't released a statement?

Nothing that's real or substantial
