Loved our trip to Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion -- where to go next year?

We did the big trip last year and it was so breath taking. We also did Page, AZ for the slot canyons and flat water float. We are not super big into adventure, but we like to get outdoors.

I would like to do another trip next year since this year we did nothing.

Where would you recommend? Another part of the US? Costa Rica? Hawaii?(not sure we can afford that), Another national park? Alaska?

Should mention that kids are 10 (boy) and 12 (girl) -- but not sporty/adventurous.

Acadia is incredible and probably the most uniquely beautiful place east of the Mississippi. But it's quick and easy.

You want a big trip? I'd do Alaska.

How about some of the other great places in the SW that you didn't see? Arches, Canyonlands, Mesa Verde, Canyon de Chelly, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison would be a good trip. Maybe add in the Silverton railroad if you have time.

Ok I've been to those three NPs as well.

I'd recommend Yellowstone and Grand Teton, but I haven't been. Going tomorrow, though! I think these two parks, or Glacier National Park, might be next on your list! (they are ajacent to each other so it's easy to do both). These are the NPs for the animals (and YS for the geysers, too).

Also...OP if you haven't been to Yosemite, well, than that's sort of a no-brainer. It's incredible. But it's more of a hiking place than YS/GT, although the hiking in GT is supposed to be amazing.

I said Alaska but was coming back to say this. I'd add Capitol Reef and Monument Valley as well.
