This may sound silly but seriously I want to know when did you first learn you were pregnant?
Was it after sex or after you missed your first period? |
First learned? When I took the test. First knew? Right away, even called a clinic and asked if it was possible to know right away. They said, stranger things have happened.
First time my boobs were sore and we had been trying, so I knew it. Then missed my period. Then took the test that confirmed it. Second time - no symptoms until I missed my period and then took a test.
sore boobs
the morning after both times
I knew I hit the timing right as I was charting. Suspected I was pregnant from some nights of being beat. 'Knew' I was pregnant about 7dpo when I got a migraine - confirmed with a test the next day.
Didn't know until Week 7. I wasn't trying to get pregnant. I had implantation bleeding/spotting around Week 4 and just thought it was a light period. What tipped me off to take a test was when I puked in my office one morning.
Me too. I took a test a couple days before my missed period and it was positive. |
i was exhausted beyond belief. first test was negative but "knew" i was pregnant. Retested in two days in the early morning and it was positive.
I had really bad cramps and I thought it was just weird PMS sorting itself out after getting off the pill. Then I realized I was 5 days late and took a test. Bingo!
My breasts were very sore. I was on the Pill and when my period didn't show up on the day or two it was supposed to, I thought something was wrong. I hadn't missed a pill either. I bought a test and was sure I wasn't pregnant but voila! I was.
Exactly two weeks after we conceived, I had heartburn for the first time ever. It was a strange sensation and I suspected something then, even though I wasn't technically late yet.
Major mood swing.
We were on our second month of "trying." The first month, I was almost certain that I was not pregnant, even though my period was 4 days late. (took the test, it was negative). The next month, right after our attempts, I just knew I was pregnant. I took a home test almost a week early but it was negative. I took another one 5 days before expected period, still negative, but I thought, if you held the test the right way, you could almost discern a faint line. My husband thought I was getting myself excited over nothing but I bought another test on the sly, I was so sure. (This time a digital test). It said "pregnant" and I screeched "I knew it!" and that's when I knew for sure, I suppose. But as far as I'm concerned, I knew right away.

I just "knew" before I even missed my period.
I think the only symptom I had at first was cramps similar to PMS but I think it was the timing of the cramps (more mild and a week earlier than my due period) and I just had a gut feeling and took the pregnancy test early (like 3-4 days) and sure enough it was positive. This happened with both pregnancies and it was one of the best moments of my life (other than the actual birth) |
