| Trying to plan a month out, I have never been to Orlando or any parks there. Will travel with a couple kids under 7. We'll only be there for about 3 full days of "activities" the other 2 are travel days. I was thinking just hang out at the pool day 1, day 2 hit legoland, and day 3 ad the magic kingdom. (day 3 will fall on a saturday). I know we're not going to get on all the rids but just giving them a first experience to orlando. Is 1 full day enough for each park for the younger set? I'm a little hesitant in doing another day at WDW but then again, I've never been! |

It's fine. I wouldn't be hesitant to do another Disney day though. Each park is different and warrants their own day or two.
My personal thought is that a pool day is kind of a wasted opportunity because you could do a hotel pool anywhere. But at the same time, you don't want overtired kids. I would combine pool day with a dinner at Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney) because it's free to get to, and is inside WDW so will feel like you're starting your Disney trip without having to pay any admission. |
No, one day at Disney is not enough. You will also be paying a premium, as Disney tickets are front loaded (the more days you go, the less it costs.) I'd go to Disney all 3 days. |

You might consider hitting MK on a weekday rather than a weekend, if you do stick with your proposed schedule. Friday would be better than Saturday, but Thursday would be even better than either of those days. Also, I haven't been to Legoland, but a Disney park trip involves a lot of walking. Two days in a row of walking might be tiring. You could consider putting the pool day in the middle of the two park days, or have the pool day be the final day of your trip for the most R&R. |

12:21 here -- I agree with the PP who said you could consider dinner at Disney Springs for your pool day. It does give the experience of Disney but without required admission. |
| Personally, I would skip Legoland and do another day at one of the Disney parks like Animal Kingdom. |
| Legoland is about an hour's drive from Orlando. With that short of a trip, I would do only Legoland or only Disney. |
True, although it's still about $100 a day until you stay for 4 days or more from what I can tell. |
| I think you should do a park your first day while you guys are excited/energetic. |

I think it sounds great. Legoland was fun for my 5 and 7 year old this past March and I'm glad we got to go now because I could definitely see them being bored with it in another few years. A full day there is plenty, unless you were planning to try to do the water park side as well as the regular park. Personally I would do the pool day in between the 2 park days just because both Legoland and MK are quite a bit of walking and it's nice to have down time to recover in between. A single day at MK won't get you on all the rides, but it will be enough.
Looking at the crowd calendars, Saturday looks ok for the MK day (as opposed to Thursday or Friday for at least the last 2 weekends in August) unless you're talking about Labor Day weekend in which case Saturday is NOT the day to pick to go to MK and you'd be better off earlier in the week. |
| You can do MK in one day. I did it on a Saturday recently and it was fine. I had a 4 and 1 yo. We lasted from opening till 6 pm with no fast passes (friend got us in mostly free). We did sooo much. |
All we did was prioritize everything we wanted to do. First things first. We sometimes mixed it up just to be efficient with walking/locations. But we ended up doing about 16+ things that we most wanted to do. Plus hall of presidents for an attempt at a nap. We were satisfied at the end if the day because the rest of the list would have been fun, but it was all lower priority stuff. |
| I haven't been to Disney (as a parent), but Legoland is a great one-day park when the kids are little. We went when my kids were 3 and 5, and were easily able to hit up most attractions in a day long visit, they could do most rides, and I didn't feel like it involved a ton of walking. |

Do the pool day on your travel days...when you arrive use that to unpack, freshen up, jump in the pool, acclimate, etc for example.
Use the remaining 3 full days at MK |
+1 best advice. I would also stroller the kids to avoid the meltdown. If your kids don't want to stroller on the first day let them walk. Day 2 and Day 3 they won't mind it. It's a lot of walking even for adults |
