Did someone say post convention bounce?

Anonymous
Trump has received a sizable bounce after the convention.

"Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup including Gary Johnson (9%) and Jill Stein (3%) and by three points in a two-way head-to-head, 48% to 45%. That latter finding represents a 6-point convention bounce for Trump, which are traditionally measured in two-way matchups.

The new findings mark Trump's best showing in a CNN/ORC Poll against Clinton since September 2015. Trump's new edge rests largely on increased support among independents, 43% of whom said that Trump's convention in Cleveland left them more likely to back him, while 41% were dissuaded. Pre-convention, independents split 34% Clinton to 31% Trump, with sizable numbers behind Johnson (22%) and Stein (10%). Now, 46% say they back Trump, 28% Clinton, 15% Johnson and 4% Stein.

Beyond boosting his overall support, Trump's favorability rating is also on the rise (46% of registered voters say they have a positive view, up from 39% pre-convention), while his advantage over Clinton on handling top issues climbs. He now holds double-digit margins over Clinton as more trusted on the economy and terrorism. Trump also cut into Clinton's edge on managing foreign policy (50% said they trusted her more, down from 57% pre-convention).

Clinton's ratings on these same measures took a hit, though in most cases her drop-off was not quite as large as Trump's gain. Perhaps most troubling for the Clinton supporters gathering in Philadelphia this week: 68% now say Clinton is not honest and trustworthy, her worst rating on that measure in CNN/ORC polling.

The last CNN/ORC poll before the convention showed Clinton leading Trump by 7 points in a two way match up - a swing of 10 points based on the new poll.

It looks to me like a joyful leap for Trump.
There's no end to Hillary's scandals.
How could she ever govern America?

Between Trump now holding a double digit lead over Clinton on who can best manage the economy and terrorism and the polling that shows 68% of the country think she is not honest/trustworthy and now the DWS resignation and the disillusionment of Bernie supporters, etc I would say it does not bode well on key issues that will affect the general.

This poll is taken before the DNC email leak.

The DNC convention is going to be a hot mess.

And riddled with never-ending scandal.

What is also amazing is that Hillary say something condemnatory about the effort by DWS to rig things against Bernie, actually goes ahead with a strong statement of support for DWS and a promotion of sorts to appoint DWS as her campaign's honorary chairperson!

I am sure that will really help Hillary's honest and trustworthy numbers?

Who the f--k are the advisors who told her to make such a dumb move?

I am a pretty staunch conservative, not a Bernie fan, but what they did to him is horrendous! The man might not share my values, but I can say that he is honest and passionate in his views, and I admire those things about him. He tried to run a fair campaign against some of the most dishonest people in the country.

If nothing else, I hope his run for presidency shakes up the system and forces necessary changes.

Trump's wet dream must be that hacked emails will surface that Clinton and/or her campaign were in cahoots with DWS and the DNC to rig the primaries against Bernie!

Donna Brazille has been saying in interviews that there is more to come without being specific. She was the vice chair of the DNC and now the interim chair after the DWS resignation, so I assume her comments are not just idle speculation.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, people.

A few weeks ago Wikileaks said they had emails from Clinton that would indict her.
My thought is that it had something to do with the Clinton Foundation and a conflict of interest with her role as SoS.
Who knows what they have. I really didn’t believe it at the time, but now.... who knows.
