I booked disney for february - what else do I need to know re: advance planning?

Anonymous
I haven't been in many years - no magic bands back then.
So, 6 months beforehand (August) I book my dining?
And 3 months beforehand, I book fastpasses?
So I need to pick out all my rides and dinners in advance?
I'm ok with this, I just want to be prepared.
Kids are 12, 9 and 3 and i haven't been in more than 5 years.
Any tips or websites I should look at?
Staying at the Polynesian.

Go to disboards.com.

It's 60'days for booking fast passes. And you can only book 3 each day (you can book more in the park after you've used your 3). So most of your rides you'll just slot in around the fast passes.

I found dis boards helpful for strategy, but it is overwhelming and takes a while to wade through.

We just booked for Jan. I am a Disney fan but I honestly find the fact that you have to plan all of this out months and months in advance make the whole thing less magical. How can we pick fast passes months in advance? I have no idea how the day will go!

Anyway, yes we figured it all out using Disboards.

Exactly...there are a lot of Disney questions on here lately, and this is not where I would have looked. Go to something that has, oh, I don't know, Disney in the website and/or title bar perhaps.

Totally agree. Used a planner and spent about zero time on it, had a perfect trip thanks to fast passes and early entrance to universal to bang out the best HP rides with no lines. People really make it unnecessarily difficult.

?????

PP is kindly pointing out that there are excellent Disney websites with tons of information. Way more than DCUM. Nothing snobbish about that.

Just an FYI - a lot if the northeast schools get February vacation. Around the middle of the month and they all head to FL. Might not be as uncrowded as you hope. Just depends on the week.

Yep.

Also, the Princess half marathon weekend is in February. TONS of women (often large groups on a "girls trip") go to those.
