There's a week in early November that lends itself to a vacation (Monday and Tuesday are holidays, Wednesday is a full day, but Thursday and Friday are half days. It would be easy to build a vacation around that week (leaving the weekend before).
Anyone traveling? Where? Any suggestions? |
| California for us. |
Where? Have you already booked flights and hotel? What will the weather be like? |
| Instruction does continue on those days. |
Haha. Not much. No word study. Little to no HW. It's a great week to miss. |
| Weather in LA is almost always good. |
|
It's like our own little Jersey week!
We won't take advantage of a full week vacation but I thought that long weekend might be a nice time to go up to Philly. |
| We're going to Pittsburgh. I had long been thinking that it would be fun but thought I was some kind of weirdo for thinking that. Then the thread on the unexpectedly fun places sealed the deal for me. Long weekend only, though, didn't realize Thurs and Fri were half-days. If you take off, remember to do early voting! |
Ar our MS, I can assure you that there is both instruction and HW. |
| Considering colonial Williamsburg. |
| You can still go away for a four day weekend even if you don't want to take your kids out of school. |
Not everyone's kids are as old as yours. Shocking, I know. |
| I'd go to San Diego. |
| I"m the California poster- we're going to SF and then LA for the week - super excited. We booked the flights but not the hotels yet. A lot to choose from so I'm not worried. |
| We are in FCPS, going to Punta Cana for 5 days over election weekend. |
