| I need strength, lord! At the end of my rope dealing with everything, and now DS sick on top of it all and nobody got any sleep. FML. |
| Hugs. |

Oh man, that sucks.
How old is DS? Is he staying home today? Is he old enough to watch a movie while you doze on the couch? You just need to make it to naptime. |
| Nap time then a glass of wine and a delivered dinner then a long, hot bath and a cuddle. Sweet dreams |
that would be nice except for my ft job ... |
If staying home would be restful do that. If working and just cruising as much as you can is more restful than staying home (and I am in that boat) then do that. |
Who is staying home with your sick kid? |
I sent him to camp for the am but he will be home with the babysitter most of the day. He gets really bad colds - typically the first day (today) is not that bad, but he gets worse as his asthma gets triggered over the subsequent days. After I posted this I went upstairs and woke up DH (who otherwise would sleep until 8 and then leave without helping at all) and told him he had to take DS. I also ranted at him for a good 10 minutes and told him I was going to catch a flight to Papua New Guinea if he did not at least say "thank you" for being the default parent. Finally he did. Drank my coffee. 30 minutes later he told me "I know you are right." Mature and healthy, definitely not. But I reach a point where I have to melt down otherwise DH will continue to pile it on me. Yes I need therapy! |
| Hugs, OP. I hope you get a break today. |
Ha, it's ok! DH sounds like a good guy who would be willing to pick up more slack if you lay it out for him. |
| Um I sympathize, but if you kid is sick DO NOT send him to camp so that he can get everyone else sick. Don't be selfish or stupid, please. The rest of your community thanks you. |
| Hugs. My 9 yr old is covered in poison ivy, we lost power last night from the storm; having trouble concentrating on work today! I love Summer, but I always feel more rushed, stressed and obviously, hot. |
| Later go to the bathroom and pretend to have diarrhea for 45 minutes. Just keep flushing periodically. That's my backup plan on a terrible crazy day where no one will leave me alone. I have yet to use it. But I will. I will. |
This is your take-a-way? Geez. Sick of man-children who need constant explicit explanations and reminders about household chores and needs of children that are pretty much the same every. damn. day. Grow up and get with the program. |

Sorry I don't understand how life is so hard when taking care of a sick child means sending them off for someone else to take care of.
