I don’t think I ever realized how rednecky he is (or seems to be). |
A big 180 from his Pastor/Super dad/build it husband/humble roots. |
I go to ANC (or at least pre-lockdown) and she definitely wasn’t a regular. Sex was a big part of her books and advice for women. I think she bought in to the idea of sexual availability as a duty and it probably allowed a sex addiction to exist without consequences. |

I don’t see anything related to addiction/recovery. Just redneck stuff ?!?
Anyone else feel like the demise of a marriage is usually due to two parties? I’m not saying he’s absolved completely but was Jen living on a different planet to be so blindsided? |
Jen seems like an exhausting person to be around. |
I agree. She is shallow, narcissistic and obsessed with centering herself in every situation. I also think she is a master spin artist. She claims solidarity with the black community but her friends are all white. She has guests on her podcast that are openly hostile to the LGBT community. She supported Shanna Niequist after she victim-shamed the woman her father sexually harassed. She “runs” a completely non-transparent and shady non-profit. Brandon is a total tool. But it wasn’t a one person wreck job on the marriage, no matter what she says. |
I think she thinks she’s the cutest little trick in shoe leather (to quote Rhett Butler). I read some of her earlier books and got a lot out of them. But as I read later ones, it seemed more and more how funny and cute and adorable could she make herself be. The thing that turned me was after she came out for gay marriages, and a few months later posted a picture on her blog sipping wine looking mournfully over a lake, whining about how persecuted she’d been. I read her Facebook occasionally and there’s posts about I Just Can’t on virtual schooling, I Just Can’t do this, I Just Can’t whatever. Uh, you’re home all day with your kids., doing your podcasts, Facebook posts, writing recipes for a cookbook on your own schedule. There’s women out there trying to do virtual school while doing their full-time job at home during regular working hours while taking care of toddlers. But you just can’t? Not excusing Brandon for whatever he might have done, but, hey Jen, you seem kind of insufferable and entitled and martyr syndromed and bought into you’re the cutest little trick in shoe leather. |
isn't caleb supposed to be in the army (or one of the branches?) |
Navy I’m guessing he is waiting for the end of August. Lots of teens go to boot camp in the fall, they don’t want to miss summer |
Uh yeah—- look back a few years. He was a weepy little pastor. Then the tats, motorbike, and roids took over as he tried to channel Jesse James. |
Yep. Exactly. It was quaint at first when I went to their church back in 2009 ish. But it got old fast. It was all about them and their self aggrandizement cloaked in Jesus. |
He and his affair partner are just about as cliche as it gets. |

looks like he switched to the marines. this post says he was sworn in march 11. don't you actually go into the marines when you get sworn in? |
You get a start date for boot camp and that date could be weeks/months away. They’ve probably got a backlog from doing smaller groups due to Covid or whatever. “Hurry up and wait” is the motto of our military. |
