Trump - “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”

If Haiti is a shithole, then they can say that black freedom and sovereignty are bad. They can hold it up as proof that white countries—and what’s whiter than Norway—are better, because white people are better.

They wanted that in 1804, and in 1915, and they want it now.”

So Haiti's plight and status as the world's poorest country is the white man's fault?

Good Lord, where has accountability gone

Good lord, where has any sense and knowledge of history gone?

Learn some history. The "white man" as you call Western nations have considerable responsibility for Haiti's plight.

Some of Haiti's stolen wealth was even used by "Baby Doc" Duvalier to purchase a condo in Trump Tower.

That seems to be the strategy, to focus on the actual immigration questions, and avoid the clear evidence of the President's emotional and mental deterioration.

Flake has also confirmed it.

That's one Republican with guts. Dick Durbin (D) has confirmed it. Also in the room were Lindsey Graham R SC David Purdue R GA Tom Cotton R AR Dick Durbin D IL Kevin McCarthy R CA Bob Goodlatte R VA Mario Diaz Balart R FL. Let's see if any of these Republicans speak up against Trump.

Good for Lindsey Graham to have some guts.
Sens. Lindsey Graham, (R-S.C.) and Tom Cotton, (R-Ark.) and Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) were also present in the meeting and were surprised by Trump’s remarks, the Post reported.

Durbin told reporters that Graham “spoke up” when Trump made the remark. He praised Graham for his “political courage.”

"My colleague [Graham] spoke up and made a direct comment on what the president said,” Durbin said, according to MSNBC. “For him to confront the president as he did, literally sitting next to him, took extraordinary political courage and I respect him for it."

+1. Michael Steele the RNC chair called Trump a racist. There are some in the GOP who have not lost their marbles.

Where is Lindsey’s public statement? He’s as craven as the rest. Good for Durbin in throwing this enabler under the racist bus.

BREAKING: NBC confirms with the State Department that the U.S. Ambassador to Panama, John Feeley, has resigned because he no longer feels he can comfortably serve under @realDonaldTrump. Feeley is the first U.S. diplomat to resign over the president's comments.

There are still people of integrity. The US Ambassdaor to Panama just announced his resignation. It’s time for people in the White House to stand up and do the same.

Ambassador John Feeley statement: " I signed an oath to serve faithfully the president .... in an apolitical fashion, even when I might not agree with certain policies. My instructors made clear that if I believed I could not do that, I would be honor bound to resign. That time has come"

trump has many Haitians with Visas working for him in Marlago. He’s fine with the Haitians as long as they’re cleaning bathrooms and not trying to socialize with him and Ivanka.

Well, I am a conservative and I urge you to read the post Independence history of Haiti. There is a reason that the US and other Western nations feared that Haiti would go the way of Cuba. And they actually did a lot to squirrel the wealth out of Haiti before that happened. Of course they had inside help. Read up on it. It is actually interesting. While you are at it, read up on how US actions destabilized El Salvador (another "shit hole" country).
