The southern border illegals number in the millions. DH is discussing Trump, etc with a relative in another jurisdiction. Few if any illegals. Less than 200 Obama unaccompanied minors in the entire county. The entire state of Vermont got 5 through fiscal year 2017. Can we send the 13000 to Vermont?

Idk, if I lived in a country like Norway which provides universal healthcare and whose universities are tuition-free for citizens, I would not immigrate to the US. Your lucky to get any immigration.

This is what I don't get. If we are only going to have merit based immigration, well then we can discuss that but we can also let go of this idea of American exceptionalism for the most part, you don't get to be everyone's beacon and then just like most everywhere else at the same time. What I don't get is how quickly people forget what a shit-hole Ireland, Italy, and several other "civilized white people countries" or whatever euphemism you want to convey that were when their relatives immigrated!!!!
