NVM, he is on boys side. |
Mo Tayari. |
I'm pretty sure the 05s are still looking for players too. Coach is Nicci Wright. |

If they win, he’ll treat them well. If these lose, he’ll sit in a chair and pout. After a losing game he will tell them they are worthless and not even fit for HS soccer. (He discouraged all his 03s not to play HS, btw) The 04s had him as a coach before. I am not sure why people think this is good coaching. Can you imagine your child’s teacher behaving in such a way....
My daughter has loved every minute playing for him, our only regret is not bringing her to play for him earlier. The girls have to work hard but he has fun with them, is an awesome coach and we are very happy. (I have never seen him sit down and pout)
Parents always say that but the kids always say something different.
He is not a perfect coach. He is young (and that should not be an excuse) and we’ve seen growth in his maturity. But, after having multiple kids play a combined 20+ years of travel soccer with almost as many coaches. I can honestly say that I have not experienced a coach more willing to put the time or effort into improving their team / players. As far as HS ball - what do you want? DA guy says DA is better because they are not taking time off for HS. BRYC gave the girls a choice- and scheduled the non HS girls for several showcases and scrimmages. All but one of the 03s chose club over HS (granted a majority of the team is still in 8th grade). He is the not the right coach for everyone. He will work the girls hard. He will make them run (a lot). He expects a lot from them and they learn to expect a lot from themselves. He is not the coach for you if you are playing travel soccer to be able to say you are part of a team or if it is your social outlet. If you want to compete and push yourself - you may find that you (and your daughter) like his style. |
that's because forced running is part of developing your touch and technical ability, right? any expert coach knows that. |
Really? I’m surprised. Anyone willing to share why? I thought their 04 squad at least would stick together. |
That team plays some of the best passing soccer i have seen in youth soccer ?? |
Pep Guardiola interview last week
“Without the ball these players are top quality,” he told Monday Night Football. “I try to convince them to run like the most humble team in the world" “If they don’t do that they don’t play - they sit beside me on the bench. I can forgive everything - but if they don’t run, they don’t play. “You have to run in football. People say a lot of things. Our physicality is always good. That is one of our secrets - more than tactics, spirit. you try to run.” |

I guess that, along with who his daddy is are why BRYC puts up with his antics. Don't believe that he is maturing because he doesn't think he does anything wrong. If all you want from your daughter's coach is somebody who will push your kid as hard as possible with no positive feedback and heavy criticism when then fail to meet his expectation, then you will like his style. If you want a coach who is a teacher and mentor who will help your daughter grow as a person as well as a soccer player, you may not like his style. |
So you are saying that HS age girls are as technically and tactically proficient as Manchester City and the only difference now is fitness to raise their game? |
Can all the upset BRYC parents who didn't make an ECNL team stop posting.

I don't watch them often since my kid isn't on that team but I still have seen him pout on several occasions. |
