White voters need to stand up for their fellow humans.

Dems have no choice but to redraw maps everywhere they can. By 2028, they may be able to target up to 19 seats the GOP now holds as detailed in this thread

Then let's just close this country down as a republic and be done with it. I see nothing but a poorer, divided, hell hole for my kids and grandkids.

Yes that's what MAGA wants. They want Gilead. They know their numbers are dwindling so cheating is the only way they can hold onto power.

Dems need to fight fire with fire. Should they just lay down and let Rs gerrymander the f* out of every red state?

Yes, democrats should continue to draw districts in the shape of dragons holding jingle bells like they have for the past 50 years, and then whine about racism (in one direction).

Yea, it's better to draw the districts that look like a piece of sh(t coming out of Trump's a$$.

There are only four Black congressmen currently and none of them will be in the House next year. And, every one of them was recruited by Kevin McCarthy in what some would call a DEI effort, and McCarthy is gone. So that’s really unlikely.

Two of the 4 are running for higher office.

And we may elect another black woman from Tennessee now that the new map has passed.

It was Democrats that seceded. We sometimes hear call from Democrats today for secession every time they lose an election.

Courts kept ruling that states need to draw districts by looking at race. Supreme Court finally said that is not required under the Voting Rights Act. This is in line with previous decisions that kept walking back earlier ones that were insisting on maximal racial gerrymandering.

Oops, it’s against the law in Tennessee to redistrict between censuses.

One of the ones running for higher office already lost.

So what? It isn't the dems now. And the point of the tweet is still relevant. This state seceded and the symbolism of them returning to the place where they did so to limit black voting and representation tracks with the racism consistently seen in that state. They are exposing their true motives.

Also, if MS wants to secede? Knock yourself out and see how that goes for that welfare state that suckles at the teet of blue state dollars.

It is not in line with historical precedent, only the activism by the Klan members on SCOTUS. And it is not in line with Congress' vote to reup the law in the 80s.

All skinfolk ain't kinfolk. There's nothing to explain, unless you think it was okay that the Black slaves who snitched on Harriet Tubman and Denmark Vessey were okay just because they were all Black. What an insane and idiotic thought you have, PP. It also speaks volumes about what you really think of Black people. Not good.
