Trump says ‘US will take over the Gaza Strip’ — after relocating ‘all’ Palestinians

To be fair. He didn't say he was going to do this. He merely said that Gaza should be blown to smithereens and Palestinian sympathizers deported. There was no mention of the US taking Gaza and redeveloping it as a birthday gift for the Israeli ultra-right.

It was pretty well known this was the plan all along. What would a real estate developer usually do after they blow something to smithereens and cleanse the population? They develop the real estate.

We have US Territories including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. These territories are partially self-governing, but are under the authority of the US government.

This Middle East conflict has been going on for many many decades and I honestly don't see any end in sight regarding this conflict. I don't think Israel deserves to have any piece of the Gaza Strip. Nor should they have any control over it.

I'm not saying Trump is in his right mind for saying the US will take over the Gaza Strip.....however...

Regardless of who the POTUS is...would it be that bad to have Gaza become a US Territory? Admittedly, I'm not that educated in the governing of a US Territory nor the actual process. But if Gaza became a US Territory...in theory...all citizens would then be granted US citizenship. I mean would it be that far-fetched to even consider? Heck...I'd even be fine with the Gaza Strip AND the West Bank and East Jerusalem becoming part of the US Territory if it meant finally some peace and an end to all death and violence.

The territory would be partially self-governing...finally a Palestinian state of sorts (or as close to one as possible).

We'd be responsible for keeping the peace, and we don't want that. We already tried that with Iraq and Gaza is worse.

This is awfully convenient. Netanyahu pursues a war all during the election, sabotaging every Biden administration effort in the region, becoming a major factor in Trump's election win.

Then voila, Trump is going to help him cleanse the Gaza Strip of Palestinians once and for all.

That isn't suspicious.

America needs its lebensraum and we’re going to have it and the world’s going to like it or face The Mighty Fist of Uncle Sam.

Where are all those anti-Biden pro-Palestinian posters now? You know, the ones who just couldn't in good conscience vote for Biden because he couldn't stop the war?

Did you miss the part about "relocating" all the Palestinians? He's suggesting we ethnically cleanse and then annex Gaza. Even leaving aside whether it makes sense of the US to annex a territory on the other side of the world, do you genuinely think the process of depopulating Gaza looks like "an end to all the death and violence"? It doesn't. It looks like a brutal military occupation in which lots of people die.

That’s actually a really good question. Why did we eat our own but then stay silent during THIS?

That would mean anyone born there is a US citizen. That should go over well.

They’re learning they got played, that’s what. Harris would have listened, but these voters wanted to send a message. The message is that they didn’t actually care about the Palestinians at all, not enough to make themselves personally uncomfortable at least, and we shouldn’t care either. Message heard loud and clear.

Maybe the non-citizens listened to the promise of their deportation if they kept up their patently antisemitic activities and their efforts to influence U.S. foreign policy in favor of terrorism.

Israel is already making life for Palestinians awful in the West Bank - closing roads, destroying property, extreme violence from far right Jewish settlers on the West Bank. Assuming this is considered ethnic cleaning as well.

The majority of Palestinians voted in Hamas who ran on a kill every Jew platform. I'd consider that ethnic cleaning.

That election happened before the majority if palestinians were even born.

In polling a year ago two thirds of Palestinians supported Oct. 7th. The other Arab countries do not want them because they would get terrorism or ones sympathetic to terrorist in their own countries. Everyone knows why they won't take them....

That’s a simplified understanding. The Palestinians support for Oct 7 is because they view Israel as an occupying force and terrorist who don’t want peace but instead want control and for Palestine not to exist

Does it matter why they support Oct 7? They support it. That puts Israel at constant risk. Israel is not, no matter how many times you ask this of them, going to just suicide themselves into non-existence.

Israel is surrounded by countries that don’t like it. Its security is dependent on US Military assistance. It’s in Israel’s interest to find a way to peace

Those same countries won't take in Palestine refugees who want to leave. We will take in over 125k a year in 2025. Those same countries won't admit the real reason they won't take the Palestinians. They should be criticized, but I'm guessing they may end up financially donating to rebuild Gaza, but again the people can't be expected to live in tents for 5 years.

80% of Israeli support ethnic cleansing. Not surprising at all

And 100% of Palestinians do the same.

No surprises here.

Both sides want the same land.

I don’t see why the Gazans can’t just go live somewhere else in the world. I mean, anywhere else.

Most would rather leave if other countries take them in. Therein lies the problem.....

There is nowhere else for many Palestinians to go. And Americans are not interested in paying for or being involved in the Reconstruction of the Gaza strip. They just voted to slash taxes for the rich, slash the budget and keep any money left over all at home, preferably in red states as long as they keep a birth rate high enough to get the cash.

Israeli prime minister lauds Trump's leadership when asked if Biden should take credit for ceasefire
'I'm happy that they're here,' Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says
sraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lauded President Donald Trump's leadership when asked who should take credit for the ceasefire deal reached in the waning days of the Biden administration.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu, we've heard Joe Biden and Donald Trump take credit for the hostage and ceasefire deal. Who do you think deserves more credit?" Fox News' Peter Doocy asked Netanyahu as he joined Trump in the Oval Office on Tuesday.

"I think President Trump had a great force and powerful leadership to this effort. I appreciate it," Netanyahu responded. "He sent a very good emissary. He's helped a lot. And, you know, I'll just tell you, I'm happy that they're here. And I'm sure the president is happy that they're here. And I would think that's about enough."

Yes we know why he’s happy with Trump. Taking over Gaza, building Trump towers along the “Riviera” and both men making a fortune.
