Is this ethnic cleansing? Israel is already making life for Palestinians awful in the West Bank - closing roads, destroying property, extreme violence from far right Jewish settlers on the West Bank. Assuming this is considered ethnic cleaning as well.
The majority of Palestinians voted in Hamas who ran on a kill every Jew platform. I'd consider that ethnic cleaning.
That election happened before the majority if palestinians were even born.
In polling a year ago two thirds of Palestinians supported Oct. 7th. The other Arab countries do not want them because they would get terrorism or ones sympathetic to terrorist in their own countries. Everyone knows why they won't take them....
That’s a simplified understanding. The Palestinians support for Oct 7 is because they view Israel as an occupying force and terrorist who don’t want peace but instead want control and for Palestine not to exist
Does it matter why they support Oct 7? They support it. That puts Israel at constant risk. Israel is not, no matter how many times you ask this of them, going to just suicide themselves into non-existence.
Israel is surrounded by countries that don’t like it. Its security is dependent on US Military assistance. It’s in Israel’s interest to find a way to peace
Those same countries won't take in Palestine refugees who want to leave. We will take in over 125k a year in 2025. Those same countries won't admit the real reason they won't take the Palestinians. They should be criticized, but I'm guessing they may end up financially donating to rebuild Gaza, but again the people can't be expected to live in tents for 5 years.
There is nowhere else for many Palestinians to go. And Americans are not interested in paying for or being involved in the Reconstruction of the Gaza strip. They just voted to slash taxes for the rich, slash the budget and keep any money left over all at home, preferably in red states as long as they keep a birth rate high enough to get the cash.
