Which anyone could have seen coming from a mile away.

Billets?

Your position/slot won't be filled.

I don't see how this is possible. Let's say the one SME in a certain office designs to resign. They're not just going to eliminate that position because that specific person resigned.

Or a supervisor.

I work in a public safety related role and we have been critically understaffed for years. I can't imagine how much worse it is going to get. If you think crime is bad now, wait until we have 25% fewer federal prosecutors and LEOs.

And the ATC at National are going to be totally traumatized and possibly unable to work. I heard about an ATC who had a near miss and had to be out with PTSD for months.

This. FAFO. Shocking that many of our government workers are important.

If the public could see how many cases we lose, dismiss, or plead down because of human error attributable to exhaustion and overwork, they'd be horrified.

This. Enjoy crime going up because there's not enough capacity to deal with it

Anyone get the new “FAQ” email from OPM that encourages everyone to move to the private sector from our “low productivity jobs in the public sector”?

Eat a bag of d***s, Elon.

Yes, I was wondering if there would be a new thread on it. I lol'd. They are looking more and more like the lunatics they are.

DP. I truly don’t get it. If they are trying to get people to take this deal why have that approach. Like do they think we care about Apartheid Clyde’s opinion?

Also if they’re planning on actually paying people why can’t they give the money up front?

That's fewer than retire in an ordinary January-- let alone 8 months of the year.
