Store parking lot lanes where people walking meander in a vaguely diagonal direction across the lane rather than picking a side and sticking to it or else crossing the lane in a direct line.

She's also, again, a paid spokesperson for Capital One, and has been for many years, so the idea that their relationship is premised on her business is ludicrous. It makes me really mad.

But the most enraging part of the ad comes at the end, when Jennifer is at the airport with her "colleagues" (a group of actors I am certain do not work for Jen's "business" and that she met on set the day this was filmed) waiting for the flight for their "business trip." She's extolling one of the perks of banking with Capital One, travel perks including access to airport lounges. She says, "I could get used to this!" in that folksy, guileless way she has of saying things. And then my head explodes.

YOU ARE JENNIFER GARNER. YOU USED TO BE MARRIED TO BEN AFFLECK. YOU HAVE A CRAP TON OF MONEY, LIVE IN A HUGE HOUSE IN MALIBU OR SOMETHING, AND FLY PRIVATE OR (AT A MINIMUM) FIRST CLASS WHEN YOU FLY. YOU DO NOT NEED ACCESS TO CAPITAL ONE'S SMALL BUSINESS PERKS TO GAIN ACCESS TO A FREAKING **AIRPORT LOUNGE** AND YOU ARE ALREADY USED TO IT. WHAT EVEN IS THIS, DOES THIS COMMERCIAL ACTUALLY INDUCE ANYONE TO BANK WITH CAPITAL ONE, WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS IS THE DUMBEST COMMERCIAL IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

Jennifer Garner isn’t referring to her acting career, she’s referring to her company Once Upon a Farm. No, she’s not a small business owner in the sense pp is, but at least get the facts straight.

Lol you are the one who doesn't have their facts straight. The line in the ad is "You may know me from my other career, but I'm also a small business owner." The "other career" she is referring to IS her acting her career. The "small business" she is referring to is Once Upon a Farm. The PP's rant is spot on (including the part about Garner being a "vanity business owner" and not being a relatable or useful advocate for a bank account targeted at small businesses).

I like to park all the way in the back of the lot at big box stores with literally DOZENS of empty spaces all around my car. I will come back out to find someone has parked in the spot right next to me and I can barely open the door.

I don't understand people like this. At all.

This happened to me twice in one day. I couldn't believe it and took photos to prove it to my family. They were as stumped as I was.

Dog owners who don’t hold the leashes if they see someone approaching.Not everyone loves dogs.

People crossing the parking lot without paying any attention whatsoever to cars.

People not holding the door for their family once they are let in by someone in the front.

Rn I am irrationally angry after scanning my kid’s phone (yes I keep an eye on his online activity to try to keep him out of trouble) and discovering that some girl thought he was gay. He is lean and swanky but I never got the vibes, and he told her he wasn’t fwiw. I don’t care either way, I just thought it was kinda bold of her to make assumptions?

I am angry at a vendor who sold me a defective product, then said it was my fault because I tried to use it twice before contacting them. I have spent too much time researching how incorrect their position is, and I am using my irrational anger to report them to multiple authorities for selling unsafe products, for attempts at intimidation, and for removing the serial number of the product.

I hope they’re fined and surveilled heavily. I hope they go out of business. They are terrible.

LOL - total opposite on the foreign language thing. When non-Spanish speakers overpronounce "quesadilla" or "gracias". Same for Giada and her ridiculous pronunciation of "mozzarella" (yes, I'm sure that's the right way to pronounce it in Italian). French is a bit of an outlier, however - it's really hard to say "le pain quotidien" in an American accent without sounding stupid.

+1 It actually makes me irrationally angry when native English speakers overly pronounce words in other languages with the corresponding accent in the middle of an English sentence. No, I'm not going to say "cwaasau" because I also wouldn't randomly call Paris "Paree" while I'm speaking English.

Apparently this has become a thing with Hispanic names. I hear it on NPR all the time.

I am a Russian speaker and fwiw it’s pronounced entirely different in Russian so it doesn’t really matter. I also suspect that “Beizhing” is closer to how it’s pronounced in mandarin but idk for sure
