She spun that from what we all know- this kid has a Twitter account fascinated with violence and robbery from years ago and he has a gun that looks like a 9mm which mommy angel didn't know about in their small apartment ? Either she did know or she's a negligent parent. I go through my kids stuff regularly. Of he really has a learning disability he wouldn't be savvy enough to hide a "gun" in an apartment.
And this bs about him just being down town and trying to fit innwhen he saw trouble breaking out is some Kyle Rittenhouse level of deception. My kids try to fit in too. They don't beinf "guns" to down town Bethesda to try to fit in!!

And they moved from white oak to get away from the problems?

Bish, you are the problem.

The twitter account gets me, as a parent. It wasn't a hidden account. It has his name on it. How did mom not see it? I check my kids social media pretty often. If I saw the violence fascinating the account would have been deleted and he would be in therapy. None of what we know as fact jibes with the sweet innocent routine she's giving in court.

How often do you go on Twitter and look for your kids names?

It hasn’t been active since 2021.

So he was 14 in 2021 and she still wasn't checking? Are people seriously allowing their kids online and not checking on them?? He could have been talking to predators. Wow.

Checking what exactly? He could have created it on the schools computer. Do you know how Twitter works?

How and when on a school computer? Our school personnel have to monitor and be accountable for websites.

I'm not a BCC parent, and the answer is "no". This was a terrible incident, but I would not say they have more problem kids than other HS.

It depends on the kids at the school in a particular year. But, this year, this incident is very serious. However, this didn't happen on MCPS property so it really has nothing to do with the school. This happened a distance away at the metro and at that point the students all left the school and it was the parents responsibility to monitor and supervise them.

MCPS disagrees with you.

MCPs is only taking a stand because parents and community would have a fit if they didn't. This wasn't MCPS fault, this time.

A poster or posters has been taking entirely too much pleasure in labeling one of these children a "thug". I am not sure what it is about that word that some are so excited about the chance to use it. But, I am sorry to deprive these folks of the joy they've been experiencing, but I've removed post from the last couple of pages that used the term, as well as posts that quoted those posts. I will continue to delete such posts so please save me the trouble and simply avoid using it.

And why several paragraphs to explain how sweet he is and how this is just because he’s a little awkward? It’s very sympathetic to the mother and the assailant.

I love words because they help people understand what you are trying to communicate. They're the Bridge between thought and understanding. It pains me to see them erased.

NP - Use your vocabulary Jeff... the definition is an accurate description of the person who behaves in this way.

Seriously stupid question. We only know anything about one of them and what that one did.
If you have Information about any of the others, let's hear it.

It's not a stupid question if you haven't been reading what is going on. This one had a gun and kicked another in the head repeatedly.

It's not my vocabulary that is the issue. But rather the vocabulary of you folks who seem to get stuck on one word.

It's funny because banning words is banning thought and when you do that, it has the exact opposite effect than what the banner had in mind.
The far right has been completely taken aback and outraged by the thought police for a while.
Now they're coming for the moderates. It will drive them away and against the Uber progressives, too.

What term is acceptable to describe a person who brings a weapon out at night, hunts down a defenseless kid and kicks them in the head nearly to a coma? What word would you like to use?
