I read on The Post that he is supposed to turn himself in on 4 April. Am I the only that is skeptical he will actually go through with it? I feel like he says he will but at the last minute, refuses to leave FL.

Trumpworld is so insane that the stock price of DWAC (the Truth Social SPAC merger partner) went up about 12% in aftermarket trading yesterday, following news of the indictment. Somehow these people are convinced that this is good news for Trump and his ventures.

Re: the person up thread asking if Trump would be arrested. Answer: it’s his choice. He will be given the option to turn himself in and avoid being arrested at Maralago and dragged out in handcuffs. If her refuses to surrender, arrest it is.

Once they have him at the Courthouse (either under his own steam or with the assistance of handcuff and marshals), the finger print, mug shot, appearance before judge to set bail is exactly the same.

Except: my opinion is that if Trump makes them arrest him, which will involve a delay of a few days to extradite him ( which will happen), the Judge is more likely to tell him he can’t leave the state of NY as a condition of release, so we don’t go through an extradition every time there is a hearing.

I hope there is a gag order. Trump can sit there and STFU. They will also require him to surrender his passport. Although he has the secret service there 24/7, so he’s not much of a flight risk.

Anyway, arrest is the shorthand way to say that he makes the Marshals go to FL and drag him in, rather than self surrender.

Love the MAGA talking points here re: the DA. But what are you going to do when the evidence shows he committed the crimes beyond a reasonable doubt? No one made up these crimes to play a game of gotcha with Trump. TWO people have been convicted of crimes related to this. Neither had as much to benefit as Trump himself.
